Professional tattooists

I have been getting into doing tats myself a ty ago.I was an artist growing,up,always drawing.I am sick of listening to you bunch of fucking retards.Like you come out your mom's hole with a tat machine in hand,and ready to go.FUCK your apprenticeships.If you have a fuckin brain you can learn.It's the same as picking up a guitar and practicing everyday for 4-5 years.You are all know it alls.I am also a fulltime welder/fitter and i taught myself assholes.And in the welding field,people think their shit dont stink like all tattooists.Most of you are fuckin rip-offs.I will always make my tats cheap,cause i already work.I like reading some articles,just shows how many bitches that get tats and think they are a fuckin tough guy.I'd TAT loser ON UR FOREHEAD!TATTOOING is not hard dickheads.Shading is the hardest cause its all technique.Packin color.....lmao.Even lining is kindergarten.....lol

and you can keep on fucking people up and putting on some of the shittest tattoos around.maybe your ego or pride will tell ya how good you are. put sum pics of your wonderful art up and i guarantee you fucking suck. im sure your line work is horrid,your shading is more than likely sketchy and faded, and your color is no where near solid. we sit on our high horse because we have the knowledge ,technique and skill that came from begging , borrowing,and long hours of hard work.i bet you cant even fix your machine,mix pigment for yourself ,or make your own needles unless it a guitar string. you magical artist are funny and sad at the same time. hopefully you do hurt or kill anyone with your limited to none knowledge. jus remeber ,when you think your good,your the one that sucks the most.

MANY of the top artists in this industry started in their homes, kitchens, whatever...but they have something that those who never seek out apprenticeships have- the willingness to learn more and from others while being humble enough to understand that there are people out there that know far more than they do and can actually show them something new. To go off and rant like you did basically shows your own ignorance in the field and lifestyle of tattooists and the artform itself. Most of us pride ourselves not only in our work but our dedication to an artform that we love, and that form of dedication demands us to continually seek out information, be humble to accept it and be intelligent enough to see it when we find it. To do otherwise is doing ourselves and our clients a serious dis-service. Are there self serving assholes who call themselves pros and treat people like garbage? YES. But there are also people who treat others with respect...which one you choose to be whether your a self taught tattooist or pro is always your choice.

honestly, i get what you're trying to say. but you are taking tattooing down to such a myopic level that your argument doesn't really apply when you look at the big picture. i do believe it is an important part of tattooing to learn technique as well as the artistic side. of course, the principles of art are the same across the board (contrast, color theory, and composition) but tattooing is also very technical and the application is fascinatingly unique. in my own experience as a painter and now as a tattooist i have found that a lot of this information is not just stumbled upon through trial and error... all that aside--- the overriding concern that a lot of people do not address is the health and sanitation factor. the laws for tattooing do vary from state to state, but they all tend to require professional tattooists to go through first aid, cpr, and yearly bloodborne pathogens certifications. some states also require more than that. tattooing is very much a medical process and it is very dangerous. especially when you are dealing with things like hepatitis, which can live in dried blood for up to a week (that's not so fun, is it?) tattoo shops are clean facilities set up to minimize the risk of infection for both the tattooer and the client...even if the tattooer sucks balls. stay positive and don't get pissed off that things don't always go your way and not everyone agrees with you. there's a lot of shitty tattooists out there, and if you think you can do better, then fight the good fight and get into a shop, go through the bullshit, learn the important lessons, and show them how it's done.. stay safe, and best of luck.

Thats right,keep talkin.My lines are fuckin great.The odd blow out.My shading is great and getting better as time goes.I have different mixes,start light and go dark.....duh.And NO,i do not have the confidence to do portraits yet,but in due time.I will become very good in about 7-8 years.And idiot i do have friends that own shops.......LMAO!It is a skill,and there is lots to learn you ignorant tattoo big shot.I did not,nor did you come out of yer fuckin mother with a Tattoo MACHINE....lol.I call it a fuckin GUN,Don't like it go fuck yourself loser.I have a portfolio dummy and you aint seein shit.Only the peeps i do....lmao!

You fucking idiots that think an apprenticeship is some sort of power trip are just epic morons. I wish someone had ripped the machines out of my hands until i understood many more basic skills. your fucking reputation and tattoos from early on can haunt you for YEARS. (if you care about being good) otherwise...knock yourself out...go fuck some skin up in your "trial and error" phase. Just be ready for the backlash in "7-8 years" apprenticeships are good for the apprentice...not so much for the teacher....fucking morons. thanks LA-ink , NY-ink, and Miami Ink...thanks a lot...ugh Believe me, it's NO sweat off MY back if you don't want to learn quickly and well...just makes the "professionals" look that much better. hahahahahahahaha...oh jesus, these kitchen magicians crack me up...great logic!
