Raised tattoo, sometimes

So about a year ago now I got my first tattoo done on my ankle, and every so often the right side around my leg gets raised and itchy. I've never heard of any of my friends or family that have tattoo's complain of this at all. Can anyone tell me why??

Lots of reasons. some of the following could be the issue. allergies.contact with foreing stuff ie dirt pollens ect,food change diet change med change and so on. stress could be one even exercise. heard of this before.
