Hi,
My mother had a gotten a tattoo about a year and a half ago, done on her ankle. It has always been raised. She contacted the artist and he said to put Hydrocortisone cream on it. It helped minimly. Well today I came over and her tattoo now, still raised is now red around the edges. Looking almost like a fresher, still healing tattoo. I have run out of ideas for her, I myslef have several tattoos, and one that raises from time to time, but never really looking like hers does.So any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanx,
Erin

Id give Larry Brogan or Muriel a call/stop in to show them the tattoo. They are both very knowledgeable!
On a thin layer of skin such as the ankle or lower back the tattoo always seems raised I know this because the one on my back has felt like that for a year. The redness needs to be checked by a physician, id say a allergic reaction to the creme but then again Im not a doctor.
I will pass on what you guys have suggested, thank you very much. I would guess an allergic reaction as well. it is just done in blue ink. Looks very dry now, still red. but any and all info helps!
Thanks, Erin
