taz ummmm if ur refering to me ass bieng stupid ur wrong
the reason i asked the qeustion is obviuosly i dont know oh and i dont want to be an tattooist i wanted to prove a freind wrong who thought u could reuse needles who wants to be a tattooist
hey emmanuel....plese forgive if you took offense ..I was not referring to you as stupid...I don't know you so how could I judge you. Please don't p lump me in with those "tattoo gods" who put people down on here for asking an innocent question. That is NOT what I am about....if I can answer any more questions just e-mail me!!!!!T
oh alright cool ill probably hit u up here and there
OK emannuel now we got that out of the way ...about needle reuse...tattoo needles CAN be reused safely by proper cleaning (ultrasonic) and sterilization (autoclave)..until only a few years ago doctors and dentists routinely resterilized needles .scalpels and other tools used in invasive proceedures....that was before the days of disposable syringes and other instruments. However the main reason pro tattooists DO NOT reuse them is that during the tattoo process the effect of the needles penetrating the skin has an adverse effect on the sharpness of the needles...it dulls them thereby rendering them much less effective at puncturing the skin making it much harder to insert the pigment properly. On a routine basis I personally will change needles (especially shaders) during a medium to large piece 2 or 3 times to make sure they are always sharp.
At the first shop I worked at many years ago the owner made us reuse needles until they would barely break skin! But the art of tattooing has come a long long way since then (35+ years ago) hell we didn't know what a sterilizer was back then...we just dunked em in Listerine and hand scrubbed em with a toothbrush!!..NO SHIT!!! I'm telling my age now huh? LOL!
Any way to get to the point it is a definate plus to NOT reuse tattoo needles hell you can buy good quality needles at less than a buck each already soldered on the bar...if you went to a shop to pay good money to get a tattoo wouldn't you rather the artist care enough about you and his work to spend a couple bucks extra on new needles? Well there ya have it...more sage advice from the old guy!!!!good luck and good tattooing!..T
There are no "tattoo gods" on here. I know most of the people you are talking about, they are very talented accomplished artists to whom we should be thankful take time from their crazy busy days to help answer questions. They work their ass off pushing tattooing to a new level, and have a great love for the art they dedicate their lives to. Sure, they may have waiting lists months long, but thats because they earned it, not because they are some "god".
Its amazing how just because people dont get the answers they want they think people are putting them down. Joe, Julio, Krystof, Kandyman, and the others (I cant name you all) give good thought out answers time and time again. when people dont listen or believe or think those professionals are just *H8ers* then they get ragged on a bit for not having the proper respect for industry leaders.
Wow, we really have this conversation over and over and over again.
f you are referring to my post gabe I was certainly not demeaning any of those fantastic artists you mentioned.I was talking about the people who think everyone should know everything and then make fun of them when they don't.I think some people should try a little patience and kindness.Maybe I am gettin old and soft LOL!!!! I just have no patience with rude people and superstar attitudes deserved or not...Krystof was on the right track about hangin out with musicians...remember.
Anyway hope I did'nt ruffle too many feathers and if I did well.......tough titty....T
ROCK ON TAZ!!!!
