redness, flakiness

4 messages · last activity 3/28/2006

i just got my tattoo 2 weeks ago, and it seemed fine at first, but after the first initial scabbing and peeling, it started turning red and raised bumps formed on my skin where the pigment was. my artist told me to apply lotion only once a day or stop altogether, but the rash or whatever it is keeps drying out and parts of it flake off and the tattoo looks cloudy. what is going on? another artist recommended that i stop putting lotion and just apply some vitamin E oil at night. can anyone else offer some ideas? i can email you before and after pics.
Without seeing it ( can ya post a pic on myspace or somewhere. To me I hink I would suggest letting it dry out...leave it open to get as much air as possible...But try to post a pic or e-mail me one so I can get a better idea....TAz at Painted Angel
cloudy and flakey and peeling and bumps heres my thoughts without seeing the tattoo. cloudy assimulation process/ this is where the skin is growing over tattoo and the body is accepting the tattoo/peeling thats norm/flakey/dead skin cells falling off the body and such also normal/bumps/more that likely hair foliciles coming in but could be a small reaction to the colored pigment
Don...What da fuck dude?
