Hi, I'm working on a story discussing the dangers of getting tattooed by an unlicensed artist. I'm looking for people who've gotten consmetically botched tattoos or infections (preferably from unlincensed places, but would also like to talk to people who even gotten them at on-the-level institutions.
Two important things:
1) I don't have to use your name
2) Not looking for info on where it was done
Just want to know about the symptoms you suffered and the aftermath. I can interview you by phone or email and it will take very little of your time
Thanks in advance.

first-i am not a tattoo artist,just a collector(for now:))
I think you have an interesting idea, and i would love to read the finished product. However, i think its important that you approach this correctly. Although there are many kitchen magicians, traveling scratchers and the like.
- not all "botched" tattoos are the direct result of a poor artist/tattooer. many are well rendered tattoos that were poorly cared for.
- some "botched" tattoos may have been such due to unforeseeable circumstance.
ex: i client fails to alert artist of a skin condition such as Keliods.
best of luck.
