Royal Dragon Ink

Was wondering if anyone has any experience with royal dragon inks? I am not an artist, but am looking to get a tattoo. The guy I am talking to says this is the ink he uses. Looking for some other opinions. Any other recommendations?
run away
RUN RUN RUN!!!! no reputable artist would use em, they're shit ebay inks, god only knows where they come from... then again if you're getting this done in a basement somewhere then have fun getting it fixed later.
I doubt any reputable artist will even dare to mention that brand. That tells you something. everyone is giving you the best feedback : RUN the Fu©k away!
i've used this ink it dull hard to work and now sat in a dark wardrobe gathering dust where it'll stay forever. it's that bad i wont even grace the dumpsters with it
I use Royal Dragon Tattoo ink all the time with great results. It goes in nice and easy, they have a great selection of colors, including some awsome UV inks and the prices are very reasonable. They heal quickly with no reactions.
Are you serious? Do you use Voodoo ink, too? haha Id hate to see what your review would be on Kuro Sumi - youd really flip you lid and think god almighty himself bled his precious holy pigments into a divine white bottle for your tattooing pleasure. Royal Dragon is some of the cheapest, crappiest crap out there. crap. This dude sounds like an ultra saavy ebay tattoo guru. "Hey! This looks like a good value! And its got a DRAGON on it!" Find another artist, bro.
Ok, the results are back from the forensic lab... I had a bottle of Royal Dragon ink analyzed. It appears Royal Dragon creates their ink by mixing Higgins india ink 50/50 with dog urine, then they bottle it in clear bottles so the sun will make the bacteria jump around to mix it reel good - and then they sell it to unsuspecting ebay shoppers for a 1000% profit.
so king how is queen kat these days. we have a saying out here. dont follow supertrucker thru the snow, he'll lead u into a ditch at full speed. onto my comment. how is 5 colors a wide selction? ive used skin candy (1 of their 8) and crazy chameleon (6 of their 17) on myself and others. the skin candy was a prize at a tat show but i like the results from a tat my gf did. besides it is recomended by one of those tv tatu shows. hit the phone book and ask if they do uv work around ur area. i know 4 in vegas that carry either and 2 in salt lake that carry cc. btw i have 5 pieces with uv ink from chameleon from 2months to a yr and a half old. george in idaho falls did his own 3yrs ago. no problems or serious fade yet.
I used royal dragon ink, colors are bright, colorful, all my ink was the same consistency, creamy, there was a ball Bering to shake it up well, I haven't had any problems with it it;s good ink, I have pics to prove it. If you like to see.
red dragon is garbage skin candy is garbage. noz has spoken.
Someone gave me a little set of 1/2 oz. Voodoo inks a few years ago as a present. I still don't know if it was a gag. I was going to trash them but I discovered that they are actually excellent when used as water colors on paper!
people have had bad experiences with all ink skin candy voodoo royal dragon there are so many variables of shit out there it is crazy ive been using skin candy and alla prima ink for quite some time now it is great it both are easy to work with ive worked with voodoo and if you know what your doing you can push anything and get decent results however i have just recently tried royal dragon and fortunately i work in a shop and we have completely converted to nothing but royal dragon ink it is always consistent creamy and thick i have never had problems with it also some of you haveing bad results with your ink depends on whether it was in a delivery truck all day out in 110 degree heat all day before it got to your house you dont know the pigments in ink do crazy things when heated above said temperatures you dont want to cook tattoo ink folks it can even become toxic so you might want to find out how it is being delivered to make sure its not getting overexposure to light or heat bad things happen to pigments with too much light or heat
Ive been tattooing for about 7 years now and have learned the hard, expensive way. My very first set was Immortal Inks. Now that shit is not even worthy for a scratcher to use. Then I got a small set of Scream. Colors worked in just fine but had fading and infection issues with the reds. I saved up some cash and got a set of Joker inks and the Alla Prima combos. Now those were great inks, made a few bucks doing tats outa my house studio "Cmon dont give me shit, We have all done it" So with that cash I bought a set of Waverly inks. Now in my opinion that is some of the best pigment around. To make a long story longer, When I opened my shop last year I was near broke and running very low on my Waverly, and couldnt afford to re-up. Couldnt afford the Joker either. BTW which is more expensive then the Waverly. So I got a 1oz set of the Royal dragon ink. I will be honest, I was iffy at first about it but after seeing the healed results I have to say that Ink is extremely good. Now I still use Waverly pigments, but I do keep a set of royal dragon around, Mainly using the UV inks. But the colors and consistency are good enough to blend into Alla Prima style effects sets. But thats just my opinion.
