I recently saw a special on TLC called "Tattoo! Art, Beauty and Pain", and near the end of it, there was a Samoan who tattoo'ed a perfect representation of the Salvador Dali painting, Clocks on a girls' right arm. I was amazed by the amount of detail that the artist put into the piece, and I would love to have that piece, or something similar to a surreal Dali painting. If you could email me and let me know, or reach me on AIM, I'd be extremely obliged.

Tony Ciavarro from Stinky Monkey Tattoo makes it down to Evolution Tattoo fairly regularly it seems. Actually, Dee Dee is well worth the drive as is Phil Holt. Let these fine tattoo artists know we say hello, and let us know how it goes!
the particualar tattoo that your refering to was done by Anele Gumpta (not sure of the spelling) he specializes in minature masterpieces..i seen that special too
i just noticed your in orlando..i suggest that you maybe go see danny knight ,or bobby at Solid image..
I am also looking for somewhere I could get a Dali tattoo somewhere on the west coast. I am looking to get "Ballerina in a Death's Head" approximately 4"x7". Does anyone know of any good artists capable of reproducing said masterpiece?
how west coast? Nevada? California?
wow, and here I thought I had an original idea! My favorite artist's painting on my body. I'm very intrigued by Dali's work and I know I want something on me, the problem is which work of art?!?! But even bigger than that is finding someone that won't distort dali's work. I'm in Tampa, Fl. If ya know someone, please let me know. [email removed]

Also, Dee Dee and Lisa Schmoldt are great color tattoo artists who would love to hammer out a dali piece Im sure...
The artist you are referring to works out of a first floor apartment like studio in the East Village (New York City)...You can get all of his info online at anilgupta dot com. He's brilliant and has no tattoos. He destroys the "don't get a tattoo done by someone that does'nt have any" out of the water. Check it out, you too will agree.
anil gupta is a great tattooist and he was tattooed a few years ago at paul booths convention in massachusetts. he got a big collaborative piece on his thigh containing the earths elements such as air, land, water and fire. jack rudy, guy aitchison, philip leu (possibly paul to) did the tattoo on him in one long session.
Any Dali artist in Houston??

I would check out our Texas tattoo gallery that has tattoos from the resident artists as well as the ones traveling. I believe Johnny Jackson is right there in Houston and would do a hellava job.
Does anyone know somebody who does good Dali tattoos in the L.A. area.
I too, thought I had an original idea. I'm getting the tree with the melting clock from Dali's painting on my right leg this July. If anyone wants to see pictures of it when it's done e-mail or IM me. I'm quite excited about this. Oh and I'm getting it done by Mike Connor in Brattleboro, VT.
yet another fan of getting a Dali tattoo. I also want the Ballerina in a Head of Death done on me. Anybody reccomend an artist in AZ?
check out our Arizona tattoo gallery where you will see custom tattoos from artist who live and trael to Arizona. Hell City is there is August and attracts some of the worlds best tattoo artists. Let us know who does the work, we love good dali tattoos!
I'm 17 & got my first small tattoo on the heel of my foot this year to test the waters with my pain tolerance (it's just the chinese characters for "Dancer") and I'm waiting again till my 18th birthday next year to get what I really-really have my heart set on: a portion of "The Woman with a Head of Roses." I'm searching high & low for an artist in the metro detroit area who would be able to replicate Dali's surreal style in a tattoo. Does anyone know of anyone? I'm getting it as a side peice and am very picky as to finding the RIGHT tattoo artist. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you.
I just had ballerina in death's head done on my right calf, about 5x8.
The work is amazing and in the first 2 days I had comments from a lot of people who recognized the work and were amazed how well it was done.
I have been holding on to the image for some time to find the right time to get it done. I am from Canada and was going to Las Vegas with my wife so I researched the shops to see if there was anyone there who could do it well. Found a place that on the edge of town that caters to locals and real artwork - not to the tourist walk-ins on the strip who had too much to drink and want pick flash off the wall on a dare. I sent them a pic via email and chatted with them a few times over a few months and then went in.
I had the tat done by Pete at "skinfactory" - they have a website. People were amazing, I had a lot of fun while I was there - if I ever get back to Vegas I will visit them again.
