scabbing/peeling

how many times should a healing tattoo normally scab over or peel during the full healing process?

Way too many variables to even considering answering that question, How are you caring for it, location on the body, ointments/lotions used etc etc etc!

its on top of forearm small tat about size of nickle first 3 days used bacitracin then switched to lubridurm have a few other tattoos but from what i remember i seem to think they only peeled once.

Hey, you really should ask the artist who did it, we cant see the tattoo, etc, etc. Usually a tattoo will peel off once in 3-5 days. Sometime in the next week there will be another layer of dry skin that may peel off a week later, though, its been an while since that happened to me. It really depends on how the artist applys the tattoo, hence, they are the best person to ask.

thanks it was a small one i did on myself figured after a year of practicing on fruit and fake skin would try something small on myself both layers were very thin not heavy scabs at all oh well guess i will continue to try and find a local artist to teach me before i try it again thanks
