Scabbing

How is a tattoo supposed to scab when the artist told me to put A and D on it for 2 week 3-5 times a day?

A tattoo isn't really supposed to scab. It's normal for the tattooed area to become dry and peel, but scabs can be quite a hinderance for the healing process. Also, the majority of tattoo artists I know don't recommend using A&D past the third day or so. Some say switch to lotion (unscented) for the dryness and some recommend dry healing (no lotion or salve, relying on you body's natural ability to heal). Hope this helps.
