wow, i am a scratcher(doing tattoos from home) but i would never desrespect by basically demanding your help.lmfao i would be honored for your advise. the guy that started teaching me passed away and there are no apprentice opening around here. i started on myself, grapefruits, etc. didnt care for practice skin. i use only intenze inks except for kuro sumi. i sterilize and give clear instructions for after care. not all scratchers are bad. However, i did start tattooing because of local scratchers screwing people up pretty bad. yes we can give you all a bad name but some of us really care about the art. i apologize for the fuck nut who wrote that completley retarded post demanding your help. NOW, lol...... i use a machine i purchased from a chinese company and it has worked very very well the company was www.taomore.com it is the only chinese company i have seen that sells REAL intenze inks. They are made in jersey. I would like to have a micky sharpz for lining. is there anyone that sells thes under 200.00 lol! again sorry for the retard. you guys deserve more respect. not all scratchers have that attitude.

seen some on ebay but i really dont trust that they are original. [Backspace] someone on here awhile back had a old 60's bulldog that i would LOVE too have but i'm sure it has been sold. as far as me being a scratcher. i could open a shop if i wanted. I dont want this to be a JOB. I love it too much. as far as noz saying fuck off..........dude, if u ever wanna borrow my clave or ultra sonic, let me know. oh wait, i'm a scratcher so i CANT have any of that!!!! get a life dude. i respect that most scratchers are horrible but some of us arent. i just love the art. just like i'm sure u do too. i fix alot of tattoos that other scratchers fuck up but i also get people come that need something fixed that a shop has done. it happens. i dont go around doggin on them . most of the time its a great shop. look up norman collins ,and leonard st.clair, and alot of others who started as basically guess what?

If you honestly truly care about tattooing then put your gun down and find an apprenticeship. No matter what it takes. What you will teach yourself in 10 years you will learn in 1 taking the right steps. I doubt you will and will probably tell me to fuck off. Im the most sanitized person in the world and know everything there is to know about tattooing but I will give you some advice for sake of sanitation. Since you probably dont have an autoclave atleast use disposable tubes. Now nothing will be as clean as something you sanitize yourself but it alot better then boiling your tips thinking your actually doing something. And to the scratchers who do say they have and autoclave. Ya should of used that money on getting an apprenticeship but hey enjoy your kitchen scratching until someone ends up suing your ass. Oh wait you probably got legal release forms too. My bad. You guys are so on top of things.

And for the record.....I can sue a shop FAR FAR easier than a scratcher. And I don't care how many releases you have someone sign. So come on and toss out the shop where you did our time. Well Tex? No reply as to where you did your apprenticeship? For some silly reason I didn't think you would be throwing that mentors name around. It cracks me up that the people on here screaming for others to get an apprenticeship are the ones that never had one themselves. It's called "bottle necking" the industry people. The "artists" that come here to post are no different than your run of the mill flash tattooist that are afraid of someone coming along and taking their chair at the local shop. Now there ARE exceptions to that rule and I don't mean to offend them. But they are generally the ones that rarely post on here or the ones that come here and are cordial and do not just give the generic "travel as far as you have to, let your family starve, blah, blah blah but you HAVE to get an apprenticeship to learn this business." If your answer contains any "off color" words....most likely your getting advise from a hack and not one of the real artists. If the person answering isn't willing to say who/where they did their apprenticeship with/at....guess what....they're a hack that never had one either. I think I'll start a new genre of our beautiful little culture. We will have "Artist", "Hackers" and "Scratchers". So let it be written, so let it be done. One day I'll share my experience as an "apprentice" at one of the more "popular" shops near me. It should be a short post, because it was only four days long before I was inking skin. AND it was from someone who comes to this board once in a while to "preach" the word. But when your busy and money is walking out the door......well, all that "paying dues" crap isn't all that important is it?? nuff said!

Pompous Ass Rule #36 Try to scare people with "release forms". If you have the release form that every shop I've ever been in has, it is NOTHING. The ONLY thing a release form does is give you a little bark if someone comes back to YOU. If they go to a lawyer, your just as screwed as if you would have had them sign nothing at all. Bud did you start your period?? I apprenticed under 2 artist named David and Dan Peteson. Not big names but very good artists in my opinion. I would like to continue more of this war of words with you but I am starting to realize your someone who is never wrong. Now for some people it may be fun to continue to say the same thing over and over but not to me. I enjoy people who can atleast attempt to be able to listen to other peoples views.
