Selling tattoos

Hi, I've been working on tribal tattoos for about a year now and I've sold them to random people for only a few dollars and I've been trying to get up enough courage to take them to a local tattoo parlor and sell them. I was wondering what the typical process for this is , do i need to copyright them? What is a typical average price for arm bands and lower back tribals? I really don't want to get talked into selling them for a really cheap price if they're worth more. I'm sorta scared that I'll be screwed out of my money, wouldn't be the first time... so any help would be good. Thanks
