sharpening needles

hello ,i have been slinging inks for a year now ... and have been sharpening my needles using a wet stone ,like the ones used for sharpening knives . It works pretty good ,but can anyone tell me a better way ? The way ive been using lets me cut open the skin real good ,to rubb inks in there , but ..the healing is taking a little long ...maybe four to six weeks ....is this normal? Maybe the toaster oven is making them dull again after i clean them. Thanks in advance. bob.

for a moment, I thought erlich was going to take those happy little needles, stick them in a nice happy little toaster oven, turn the cute little knob to 450 degress for a half hour and then shove them up bob ross's scratcher ass. we're just inside 2 weeks til april fools. hahaha
