shiny scarring

i got a tattoo exactly one week ago monday. the first one since i had an infection caused by another artist. everything is looking amazing, it is black and has some lime green in it. it is a skull falling through space. now the lime has healed up fine with the exception of one line where the scab came off too early and that is healing up now. the skull, where the eye sockets and nose is, peeled off prematurely as well, and the skin underneath is glossy like. as though it were fresh burn skin. it doesnt hurt, no infection, but it is glossy. i read earlier on this forum, that once it is done peeling i can use baby oil to remove this glossy layer of skin? is there any truth to this? or will i need to have it touched up and begin the healing process anew? everything looks fine, its just under certain angles that it looks glossy. or am i just paranoid and it will come off in time? any help would be appreciated. thanks! ~ang
This skin actually has a name.. silverskin or something, but its perfectly normal, and all your tattoos would have had it, u probably only just noticed it on this one.. its part of the healing process and it will dull down to normal skin in a week or so! so panic over, its normal!
Its called "milkskin" leave it alone it will go away.
It seems like you pulled the scabs somehow, maybe when you were sleeping. Protect that open wound from contamination. "Cow Tit Cream" works always good in that situation. Most of tattoos infections are cause by a weak after care. Don't hate the player hate the game :D
