side of the foot

I really want a tattoo of an angel wing on the outside of my right foot. Not complex or shaded, just a simple outline. The place where I'd want it is right under the nub of your ankle bone sticks out. Just wondering about pain/fading/migrating/etc. Thanks!
I have a pendant for my godson that appears to hang from an ankle chain. The pendant itself is in the location you are mentioning. Pain: Not nearly as bad as I would have thought. I had outlining and shading, and considered the outlining to be the least painful part. The most pain was close to the ankle bone. It stung, but it was bearable. The area farthest from the ankle bone actually tickled! But I tend to be more ticklish than average, especially on the foot, so you may be ok there. If you have your heart set on the design, it will be worth it. Fading: Unfortunately, this is a high rub area if you have to wear shoes and socks at work like I do. I minimized this by taking a thin, breathable ankle sock turned inside out to cover the tattoo before putting on the outer sock. I also wore Crocs clogs because they let air in around the sock to keep the site dry, and I was able to slip them off frequently when I was in the office. I needed a minor touch up at six weeks, but it held up well for the most part. You will want to minimize the most intense sun exposure until the scabbing is gone and you can use SPF30 sunscreen. Maximizing barefoot time is also good. You will want to show off anyway! Migration: Since you are doing mainly outlines, you shouldn't have to worry about that. Good luck. You will love it.
Just make sure you go to a good custom tattoo artist.
