Sinhala or Sinhalese translation

Need Help! I am trying to find a translation in Sinhala text. Not just the words but in the native Sinhala font or Symbols. I have been to every site for online dictionaries, even Ceylon-Online, however they only have one of the words I am after. My father and I visited Sri Lanka for New Year 2000 and had an amazing trip. Sadly he died suddenly last year and I would like to get the phrase 'guide me father' in Sinhala on my wrist. I have even offered to pay translation services but to no avail. Can anyone help me????? Try contacting the embassy nearest you. If they can't help directly, they should be able to point you in the direction of some (non-Tamil) expatriate groups who may be of assistance. If you've spent much time in Lanka, you'll know how straight-laced the middle class is, so best not to mention that you want it for a tattoo initially.

I just went to Google, input "Sri Lanka Community", and searched Australian sites...there's heaps of possibilities...get off your arse.

Yes, Yes, Yes please. I would appreciate it very much. I have gone to Sri Lanka sites as suggested, however still no online dictionarys suitable for use. If your friend could provide the translation for 'guide me father, or father guide me' (what ever is esthetically best) in Sinhala using Sinhala Type fonts in a PDF file in different sizes it would be awesome. I hope this is not too much to ask. I feel it will assist in a little closure from my dads death, he was the best advise giver and my best friend so I know this would be awesome for me. Please don't do the translation yourself. There's an old Lankan story, but you may not have heard it, which illustrates the pitfalls. Tourist asks a local fisherman, "Are there many man-eating shark here?" to which the fisho replies "Oh yes, many man eating shark." Tourist:"So, how many people are eaten by sharks?" Fisho:"Huh? Shark no eating man...Man eating shark"

not sure if you are aware of this, but it is not merely an issue of putting words together. most languages can have up to 8 declensions which changes the endings of the word you want to say depending on the sentence. you really need a translator if you want to do this. i however don't care for word tattoos or anything in another language.
