Other than the Paul Booths out there I am interested in find out who are some of the masters of doing realistic skulls. I want to get some more black and greys done and I am shooting for a realistic skull design. I would love to have an up and coming artist do it. I would love to have Paul do something for me but I am sure his waiting list is in the years now.

You might want to check out Kore Flatmo www.silkyflycatcher.net
check out his skulls flash. Just my preference but I really like his skulls.
Check out www.Bobtyrrell.com www.shaneoneilltattoos.com www.symbolictattoo.com (new at Pauls shop) Just ta name a few.
Good luck

I have work done by Shane. He currently has a 6 month wait. And Bob Tyrell is book up through the year 2022. Anybody good now a days means a good long wait.
Flatmo's stuff is super sick. His skeleton body suite is unreal. But at this time he is totally booked and not taking anyone. Man that totally sucks cause it just so happens that I will be in his area in about 2 weeks.
Where are you from? Checkout Dave at Good Clean Fun in GA. www.daveattonito.com
He's more than capable ta help ya.

I am from WAshington DC. I know there are a ton of good artists in Philly, B more, and DC, but I want someone who is really big on doing just skulls. If they can "pull it off" there are not the artist I am looking for. If they are the artist who is known for doing skull and skelton work then thats who I am looking for. I know what you are saying everyone does cartoony skulls. I want something realistic. I got into tattoo rather late so I have the money and abilty to travel to become a serious collector. Thats the case here.
Check out Corey Cudney, Joshua Carlton...those are some badass artists. Josh has some serious talent in the portrait department. Realism is also done perfectly by Tom Renshaw, a very high recommendation in my book. Joe Ryan(kavemetalworks.com) in Chicago also does kick ass work, so to name a few, I hope this has helped. Aside from the list of artists here, Bob Tyrrell also has a bunch of awesome artists on his links page. Booth and Tyrrell are definately worth the wait though, especially Bob. His prices are far below what he should charge. Have you talked to any of the other guys at Last Rites? Liorcifer and Tim Kern are also very accomplished in what you are looking for, but I am sure you don't need me to tell you that. Joe C mentioned a few other top notch artists, so best of luck to you in your pursuits. J
I like Dan's stuff from last rights. And yeah Josh's stuff is right up my alley!
Just keep in mind that all phenomenal artists are all going to have a wait list. If there is an artist that you would trust your skin with to give you what you want, then the wait is worth it. I got some mediocre sleeves from a small shop in Ohio...I wish I would have waited and saved up to get a collaboration from the Kern bros.
get the best from gil monti......enuff with the stupid questions!!
