Smoking A Joint Before Tattoo

Hey i was wondering how bad is it to smoke a joint before going in for ur tattoo?

Id say that probably depends entirely on you. As long as you didnt stumble in all cottonmouthed and babbling im sure it wouldnt be too big of a deal. basically if anybody can tell when you're high, i wouldnt do it, just out of respect to the artist who may not feel so comfortable about it. Oh yea and your tattoo ideas already all worked out, i wouldnt wander in faded and start rambling on about how cool it would be to get this or that tattooed.

I always tell my customers not to smoke before getting tattooed. THC is a sensory drug. It amplifies sensation in all those millions of tiny little superficial skin nerves that you will soon be wishing were fast asleep. If you doubt this try smoking then rubbing your fingernail or the (dull) back edge of a knife up and down your arm for a bit. i think pot smokers get jumpy faster that non smokers and they usually won't last for a longer session.
