I'm curious as to other artist's oppinions on whether steel grips/tips are truelly better than disposables.I know that the needle does sit better with steel but can disposables really effect the needle "control"? And yes i do know about true tubes..should have made the stem out of steel/Alluminum as well in my oppinion. Thanks people.
Steel grips Vs Disposables

I used to use steel tubes and ended up switching completely over to a disposable set up. For me personally I find no difference between using steel vs disposable other than weight and although it did take some getting used to at first I been using them ever since and happy with the results.
I know there are tons of opinions on the subject, but this is my take.
I used a disposable on my soba and maybe its something i just gotta get used to?? but the weight ratio was horrible. It was like trying to draw with wheel weights stuck to one side of the pencil haha well how do you feel about disposable stems with steel tubes? worth buying or no?
Disposable stems with steel tubes, I would just go all steel then, it really doesn't add that much weight (at least to me anyways)
You know TatSoul also makes a STUNNING disposable set up-you should look into that too. They are a tad more pricey but look very very well made and I ordered some so until they come in I can't tell you whether they are better or not.
My machines I use are at this point strictly rotaries so the balances are better using a disposable as they are already light as it is. I tried a freewire which I LOVED but the weight was amazingly high for me so I passed on it, and tried a few other great coils but always stick with my rotaries...I am holding out for the new Bishops coming soon---<3
Tat soul just seems all around over priced but i'll def. read up on em and if you remember or get bored after you use em..will you post your findings on here? And if your using rotaries..depending on brand type..disposables are def. your only way to go...No2's are oober light and i cant say i have ever seen anyone use neumas with steel...But i appreciate all your feedback! Thanks once again.
i use steel tubes and tips, but re-usable nylon grips. you put them together and wash and autoclave them like regular steel grips, but they're a ton lighter. i love them. i dunno how they'd do in a rotary machine, but they work wonders in my coil machines
Do you us morphix grips or any nylon type grip?
just 1in. black nylon grips from kingpin yo
The tatsoul wrath tubes are the best disposables i have ever used. i recommend them over any other brand. totally worth every penny!
