I have a tattoo of an anchor that starts in my elbow and hasa rope wraping up over my shoulder.
I got it a bit less than a year ago.
Only in the past couple weeks, has my skin been acting up. I've got small itchy hives concentrated around the tattoo, but in other areas of my skin too. Also, around the tattoo there are red dots that look somewhat like broken blood vessels.
The reason I bring the tattoo into things is that every now and again, the ink of the tattoo is raised above the rest of the skin. Also, while the tattoo is usually somewhat of a greyish black, as most black tattoos are, this morning it was much darker than it usually us, close to as dark as it was new.
Is the tattoo rejecting? Or is this some weird skin affliction with nothing to do with the tattoo?
In either case, I'm going to go see a doctor. I just wanted to know if anyone else has had similar experiences.
Also, note that I have another tattoo, which is smaller, but has never done anything like this.
Thanks

I would take it to the doctor and the tattoo artist who did the tattoo/the most reputable studio you can find in your area.
