hi everyone,
i was forced to cancel a tattoo appointment the day of the appointment because i woke up sick- had a fever, swollen throat etc. Naturally, i lost my deposit, which is understandable. but i feel like a real shithead for having to cancel. i knew i would not be able to handle getting inked for three hours feeling the way i did. I don't want my artist to hate me! Do they get pissed about such things or is it just business?
stupid question but i need reassurance

Ummmm....I think your health would come first in this matter. PLUS, it's ideal to be at your physically best, so you can have a clear mind when getting tattooed and your body/skin can heal nicely.
I would think that the artist would be understanding, and would've offered you a new appointment. Why would he/she want to work on you when you're feeling ill anyways? Did you even ask for a new appointment, and if your deposit could apply?
Anyways, that's just my take on it.

I agree with Tima...as long as you gave the artist notice all should have been cool....I would have probably offered to set another appointment and still applied your deposit to it IF you called and rescheduled ahead of time and not an hour before the appointment
yeah, but i woke up like this on the day of the appointment and had to leave a message in the morning because noone came in until 1, and my appointment was at 1:30. so it was just really really bad luck.
