suggestions for an artist??

13 messages · last activity 11/15/2006

After months of researching and thinking, I've finally decided what tattoo I want to get on my body and where I want it. But after reading many of the posts on the message board for your site, I see that you recommend going to an artist to have them custom design my tattoo (from my ideas, of course). So can you recommend any good tattoo artists in Canada, in the Thunder Bay area?? PS-the message boards on this site provide sooooo much useful tattoo-related info....i love it! keep up the great work! =)
hey, I just moved and now I live in the same general area as you do. I too am looking for a good, no, wait, a great tattoo artist for my next tattoo in the T-bay region. Hope to see a response soon. thx...peace
Theres a link to "tattoodles", on this site. There mostly from Canada, check out that site, they'll stear ya' in the right direction... JOE

The only place I would go in Thunder Bay for a tattoo is Underground Ink... Both artists are fantastic, they have huge porfolios and they are committed to making the customer feel comfotable and well informed about the permanent decision they are making. Right now there is a waiting list of about 3 months..but it's worth it.
I went to underground and the guy butcherd my tattoo, so i dont remember his name but i wont be going back there. i have seen a lot of work from oceanic and i am planning on bringin my bf and i back ther for a tattoo before the end of the year, but seriously u have to make ur own decisions, make sure their ligit is all that i can say.
I went to Central Body Art. I was very happy with the work of Bill, my tattooist. They have tattoo insurance, and are very clean and professional.
Around Thunder Bay? Then Underground Inc 100%!! I have heard of & seen a lot of crap from Oceanic, Central & Living Colour. I haven't really heard too much about Red & White though so I can't say anything about them. But Phenton at Underground did amazing work on all my friend's tattoos including mine. Plus he did a beautiful cover on my friend's tat to fix a hack job that was done elsewhere. Unfortunately you'll be a couple months a waiting list though. But the way I look at it is, if people are lining up to get their stuff done there comparerd to somewhere where the artist is sitting waiting for walk-ins, that's gotta tell you something.
i got bill at central body art to do my daughters name on my lower back its crooked....he was charging too much for a small bargained too less ... then gave him a tip and left overheard him outside bitchin about me and the tip sooo mother$#%#$% aint going to see that place againUNDERGOUND INK IS DA BEST me and my hubby are on the waiting list cant waiiitt!!UNDERGROUND WORK IS THE BEST HEARD IT SEEN IT AWESOME GUYS!
