Sunscreen

My tattoo is two weeks old now. The scabs all fell off about a week ago, and it feels like it is pretty much healed. Is it safe for me to use sunscreen on it now?

Two weeks is usually the recommended time, but I know that I have had tattoos that took longer than two weeks to completely heal. Just because the tattoo is two weeks old doesn't mean it won't fade in sunlight. I use SPF-50 everytime I go out into the sun. I would also stay out of the water until you're positive it's completely healed. You should actually swing by the shop and check with your artist and get his/her professional opinion.
