Surgery right after getting tattoo'd

Are there any concerns for getting (hernia) surgery right after (less then a week to a week) after getting my arm tattoo'd? might be a dumb question but it's my first so i don't know if theres anything that might hinder the healing process. I don't take pain meds anyway so my blood stream won't get thinned out but is there anything else to worry about?

personally i would wait it out a cpl weeks get healed up first no sense having the body trying to heal more than need be

How big is your tattoo, and where is it located?

After a week, you should still be putting lotion on the tat, but a hernia surgery should have no effect whatsoever on it. At that time the tat should already be peeliing or in the milk skin stage. The blood thinning thing is usually a problem only while you are getting tattooed or shortly after (within hours of getting it done). Your tat will be fine...just care for it properly.
