Swollen tattoo

Hi, I got my first tattoo 2 days ago on my left foot. It hurt bad lol. This morning i woke up to find it quite swollen and a little red. I called a tattoo artist and he said that sometimes happens to people and it has happened to him before. He just told me to take anti-inflamatories. I am still worried, it is not pussing, or bleeding and it doesnt feel itchy. It doesnt feel like it is infected but my muscle hurts bad. The pain is horrible does anyone have any ideas?

Keep your foot elevated...DO NOT use ice...ice can exacerbate the situation.This is probably normal however if it is still swollen and painful tomorrow see a doctor...TAz

Hi, I know exactly how you feel. I had a tattoo on my left foot on Sat and my foot is very swollen and hurts when I walk on it! I'm a little worried too! Has anyone got back to you? I can't feel my little toe! Is this normal?
