Tat Costs

Hey.. i have a quick question.. me and all my friends want a tat on our right calf of our first name.. kind of like a senior thing.. but we wanted to know about costs.. about how much it would be.. just to get a tattoo like that. i have a little tattoo on my back of a flower but i got it while i was in Costa Rica.. so it was a lot different in costs. So i was wondering if anybody would know about how much it would costs to get our name tattoo'd on our calf... Thanks, Rachel

Id save up a $150-$200 and do something cool and special. Its impossible to price something over the phone, though... Tattoos are not something to penny pinch on. :-) Where abouts do you live?

hi! cost does vary due to the size you want ,intricacy of the font style,and many vary due to how many letters.make sure you pick a style that will remain legible through the years!-(not too small, or smooshed together)-<"smooshed" -thats a technical term>LOL there are millions of letter styles out there, and the artist should be able to enhance it how you choose .its good to have a spending range in your mind, the artist can work with your budget. i usually give a better price when a group of people get tattooed. visit a few shops maybe theyll do a group rate for ya!!

Hey... thanks for replying to my dicussion board.. I live in Southern Idaho. I only want my first name which is 6 letters.. and i am pretty sure i just want cursive. And probably about an inch high and about 2-3" long. something like that anyway.. im not very sure.. would it cost about 2-3 hun? It don't seem like it would be that expensive... i don't know. I think a fair price for something like you describe would be in the range of about $20 - $25 per letter.

...yeah...travel from southern Idaho to Miami to get a "way cheaper" $80 tattoo... Apart from the blatant lack of financial logic in this suggestion, I think it's always wise to go with the cheapest...from brain surgery to tattoos...go cheap for sure! ...duh...
