tat healing?

hi, i am just starting to tattoo with my own machine i had given myself my first tat a week ago on my ankle it was a nautical star. the first couple of days it was very red swollen and sore i could not even walk. now it seems to have very big scabs over the shading part of the star i colored black not the outline i am wondering if i went to deep when i colored in? and will all the color peel out when the scabs fall off? lisa

Hi I gave myself an operation yesterday, It is red, swollen, and there is blood coming out, did I not sew myself up right? I used the very best fishing line I could find. Oh no! ................. Sorry the smartass in me is coming out. Blacktri

I don't know enough to get you a proper answer, but you probably went to deep. Go to a local shop and ask them. You should have gotten an apprenticeship.

hey blacktri, i feel that i am my own best teacher and i do know enough about the art of tattooing but the fact of tattooing yourself is an experience that all new tattooers should take in. i just asked maybe if some people had a similar situation. thanks for the so called cockeyness lol

fyi iam not trying to be an appentice even to work at a shop all though it would nice but i feel that i would like to be able to put my own art work on myself. i already have ten tats. just came on here to see if people had similar situations.
