tatoo rash

i have some bumps and the skin feels really rough,like a lizard.I am about 3 weeks into the healing process and there are no scabs left at all,but the rash is not going away and it has been about 4 days now.I tried to treat it with tea tree oil and hydrocortisone but nothing is working. Help.I have been tattoed before anbd this has never happened.

I dont know where your tattoo is but it might be ingrown hairs if you were shaved prior to the tattoo, and witch hazel cures that right up, (not on a fresh tattoo) give me some more info, and I'll see what I can do to help. Sinfully Skittlez

Hey ,it is on the top inside part of a full shoulder tattoo,not anywhere near the armpit.I wonder if it is the skin being so fresh it is just extra sensitive to allergens.I did just switch laundry soap. I am not broke out anywhere else.

dunno if laundry soap makes a difference... i've never heard of that before... but check to see if you are using scented soap (body)... i'm allergic to scented soap, it breaks my skin out when i get a tattoo... so i had to go to unscented soap...

It still is totally rashed out my tatto artist used this new method of puttong concentrated dots of ink to cause a textured appearance and that is the only thing I can think of that is different than my other tats. It looks like a textured mess, I hate it,and it itches terribly
