Tatto Artists in Vancouver, BC

Hi - I've just moved to the Vancouver area. I notice the artist list here is exclusively American (pardon me if I missed someone). I'd like to begin researching artists in the area to find someone for a custom piece. Can anyone either recommend a site like this one that covers Vancouver, or let me know of any experiences they have had here? Thank you in advance; B.J.

Thanks! AdrenalinVanCity and SacredHeart - any comments about either of those, specifically? The artwork of Kim (former) and Michie (latter) both kind of caught my eye - no definable reason as of yet. Any feedback is appreciated. And to the previous poster - Brian - I've also heard of Electroladylux, but have no experience with them. I'd also be curious if anyone else here has anything to say...

Check out Steve Moore at www.getmooretattoos.com He is by far one of the greatest tattoo artists in the world and one hell of a nice guy as well. He tattooed my knee and made it one of the least painful tattoos I have had in a long time. Expect him to be booked for a while but he is well worth the wait.

Steve Mooreis amazing,but i'm sure he's booked up for a long time,and only takes on the projects he's interested in..His site is under construction as of now.. www.shokoloco.com works with Steve,and does real nice work too..And if you make an appt.with him,you can check out Steve's portfolio at the shop,and maybe set something up with him in the future.. The reason i mentioned adrenaline,is because Gene Menges used to tattoo in Jersey..A friend got some work from him..He's a good tattooer,and a good dude.. It all depends on what style of tattoo you wan't..I checked out Electroladylux.com i wasn't impressed with the work on the site,but sometimes they don't update their work on the site...you should alway's go to the shop,and look at their portfolio's.. I really like Rob Hope's work,at Dutchman...he can do real nice black n grey,and color work.. Sacred heart used to have alot of better artists..I like Dave's work alot,but i think he's booked up for a few months..I couldn't access their site,so can't comment on those artists you like..

Thanks a lot, guys. I'll give you an update when I've had a look around. I have a few I'm thinking of getting, so perhaps I'll be able to give a first-hand comparision! Kudos on a good forum, btw. I'm enjoying the opinions here. B.J.

Jeremy Riley is another really good tattooer...He works at a shop in Victoria,BC called Union Tattoo Studio's..250-382-7546 I couldn't find a site for the shop,but i saw some of his work on Sailor Jerry's magazine..

Gene is one of the best tattoo artists I've ever seen. If you're looking for an old school piece that will pretty much melt your face to pieces I'd strongly advise booking with him. He doesn't really take pictures of his tattoos which is unfortunate cause the best shit I've seen him do he hasn't bothered to take picture of. However, if you book with him you will not regret it. He is mind blowing.
