Tatto design too small

Hey i went into my local tattoo parlor the otherday i wanted to get a tibetan pray in sanscript tattoo to my wrist.. it was small but didnt think it was that small...anyway the dude told me that it was even too small to tattoo... i thought small detail was wot a good tattoo was all about?? he said in 6 months it would streach or bleed into each other and needed to be 3 times bigger...is there any truth in wot he was saying?

a good tattoo is what a good tattoo is all about, nothing to do with size. Often to get the detail you want you need to get a large tattoo. The skin is not like paper, and often letters will bleed if they are too small. that said, here is a small lettering tattoo by Lou Jacque. Where abouts do you live, I may be able to recommend a good artist I know you can trust... that said, if you are making the choice to get a tattoo, then why not get it a little larger, once you make the plunge, get the tattoo done right!
