tatto infection

hi. i've previously had a tattoo and it healed perfectly fine. BUT, last week i went back to get it shaded. it's been almost a week and the scabs are peeling off. my concern is that it's red, and pussing. i'm thinking that over the counter topical products will help aid it. so, should i see a doctor or should i just do it myself and see if t heals?

I would see the artist that did the work asap!
