tattoo around a toe?

The tops of toes tattoo ok, but I dont believe rings last too well. That doesnt stop some folks, but alas, too much skin gets shed and the tattoo fades quickly. Some folks might have some good experiances, though, who knows.
I was thinking about doing the same thing around my toe! But I can't find and designs if you know of any could you send them to me? thanks
My friend and I got three little stars on our second toe to look like a toe ring and it came out wonderful. We had to search around for a place to do it, but it was worth it!!
I was wondering if it was possible to get tattooed on the tips of my big toes. Please let me know if anyone has done this and how painful it would be if I did get it done. Thanks!
More then likely, the tattoo will adhere for the first few days. But as you go about your normal walking, the friction of between your toes, and that of your toe on the floor will more then likely whipe away the tattoo. Your skin replenishes itself, but with the added friction on a new tattoo being constant, you can be quite assured the only piece of that tattoo that will remain will most likely be the top portion. I've tattooed quite a few toes, and it seems that this happens in most cases.
I've always wanted to get a tattoo on the top of my toe and I was wondering if you have any cool designs or if you know of someone that does. Please E- mail back.
I have had a tattoo on my largest toe for over 10 years now. In response to many of your queries - yes it did hurt, because it is right on the bone - the skin on the feet does shed more than other areas of the body so it has faded some - I would recommend it, especially if you are not sure how you will feel years down the road about the design or whatever it is easy to conceal even in the summer with certain sandals.
I want a tattoo around my toe like a toe ring too! i can't find any pictures...can anyone help me out? and doesn't britney spears have somthing like this? anyway..thanks for any help!
I just got a tattoo on my toe yesturday! It doesnt hurt half as bad as I thought. I got a star thing but with more spikes.. I would draw the picture on my toe with a pen and that hurt more than the tattoo...
I've had 2 toe tattoos.....they don't last long. Your feet lose a lot of skin....and it HURTS worse than any of my other tattoos
I have researched a lot about toe ring tattoos and would like to get one sometime in march so i can wear sandels that dont cover it. Im hoping that will decrease the fading a bit, of the research I have done though only some peoples toe ring tattoos fade, my friends mom has one and her looks great and shes had it done for a while.
If anyone has anymore information on toe ring tattoos or designs they would like to send me feel free to email me at [email removed]
i have tattoos on all of my toes i have done different little smily ,frowny .evil little faces.and they pretty much disapeare about every year......just something to consider...
I've been looking into toe tattoos myself but i can't find any designs. If anyone has some pics, pleeease send me some to my email, along with any comments about them. [email removed]
I would like to find some pictures of toe tattoos.
I can't seem to find any!
Thanks.
Yes it is very possible toget them on your toes but the color dosen't want to stay for very long so you will have to get it recolored every so offten
i have both my big toes tattooed i have had them for years never needing to be recolored on one toe i have a ladybug and on the other a small patch of black eyed suzies i love to show them off in the summer makes people look twice at them ( i have great toes lol) so i say go for it small and sweet as with all it hurts like a F***ER but worth it
I just got a celtic K tattoo on my second toe (next to the big one) and it did not hurt at all...the only thing that hurt were the long straight lines and that was it...as to fading i cant comment on that cause it was just done like a week ago
it is possible. i have been wanting a toe-ring type tattoo for some time now. i asked around a couple of places and checked here on the web and alot of people will tell you not to have it done because of fading. however, i just got one done last week. exactly what you are talking about, it's a tiny flower with 5 yellow petals and the leaves going off the sides of it.....really cute. e-mail me sometimes and i will try and send ya a [email removed]
zero's not oooh's in that address.
I am really wanting a toe ring tattoo, but I am having the same problem as a lot of you are. I can't find any pics, and I would really like to see some to get a good idea. If anyone has any, please send them to me. Thanks!
I have been searching forever for toe ring tattoo designs and there doesn't seem to be many pictures of them online. If anyone knows a site where I can go to find some pics or designs, please let me know.
Thanks a lot!
I have had a toe ring tattoo for 8 years now. It has faded some, but not too bad. I have a vine around my toe. I had my artist free hand it. Hurt like hell on the bone.
For a couple of years I've wanted a toe ring on my second toe. Not worried about the pain but can't find anything good to have tattooed on. Any pictures anyone has would be greatly appreciated. Want to have it done soon. Thank you.
I have been wanting a toe ring tattoo if anyone have pictures of tattoos please e-mail me at [email removed].
I just recently got my first tattoo and I got it on my toe. It hurt extremely bad but it was well worth it. As for finding a design, the tattoo place had so many I could hardly decide. I had in mind pretty much what I wanted so I just went from there. It was difficult to wear shoes for a couple of days but its completely healed and I didn't lose much color at all. The artist did say that I would lose color over the years but what the heck, what tattoo doesn't lose color. Just be sure you have good arm grips to hold on when you climb in the chair and good luck!
I had a little butterfly tattood on my second toe. And yes it hurt like never before. I've had a baby and three kidney stones and I'm telling you it freaking hurts! There's no flesh on your toe - just skin and bone. It was worth it though - it's so cute. The one good thing is that it's small so it only takes around 10 minutes. Anyone can handle it that long. Problem? It's healing out. Even though I'm wearing only sandals and lots of tattoo wax. I got it two weeks ago and it looks like when it's done being "crusty" some of it will have fallen off with the "crust". Gross but we'll see. E-mail me in a few weeks and I"ll let you know how it looks. I'm not sure if I want to get it touched up or not. It hurt and when you're not even sure if it's gonna stay it makes it hard to convivce yourself to go through it again. It's cute right now though! Lot's of compliments.
I have been looking for a tattoo to go around my second toe but like all the others I have hard a hard time finding a design that is very pretty. Please email me if you have a picture of a design. I have also heard that this tattoo is very painful because of the toe bone, Is this true?
i've been looking around for a ring tattoo also- i *really* want to get a wedding ring, but am very interested in a toe ring as well. i've had the same problem as everyone else- i can't find any pictures!! my husband wants a wedding ring, too, so if anyone has found a website, *please* let me know! this will be the first tattoo for both of us, and we don't want to screw it up :)
What's good wit you?
I just had my son last month and during my pregnancy I developed a rub mark that resembles a corn (you know a light area on the tom near the knuckle) can I tattoo over that area? Because if so I'm down ASAP.
yes its very possible i plan to do one myself
No NO NO NO!!!!
If the area is irritated anyway a tattoo there would be a disaster...and the reason ya can't find pictures of toe ring tattoos is that most artists will not do them....they will not stay!!!
I got one for my 40th Birthday! My brother is a new tattoo artist, and he gave me one. It hurts like heck!! but worth it.. its really cute, and its a perminant toe ring!!! go for it!
Hi, I've got a wreath ring tattoo around the second toe of my right foot and I've had it about three years now. It's faded and I'm going back to have it touched up but I've been very happy with it and I don't mind the touch up. I'm going to have a few things added so it's fun! ;)
I have tattoos on the tops of my toes, but I went into it knowing they'd need to be retouched a few times due to fading. I've had the newest for about 6 months, and they've already faded a bit. So know going into the experience that a tattoo on your toe won't hold up as well as anywhere else, and you'll have to return to get it retouched.
As for the pain, remember everyone's pain tolerance is different. I have a high pain tolerance, so the tattooing on my toe felt more annoying than painful. It's on my second (boniest) toe, about 1/8" from my toenail, and the artist seriously thought I'd kick him in the face before he started. But it really felt more like a really irritating blister that someone kept rubbing. However, if you have a very low pain tolerance, I wouldn't suggest getting your toes tattooed.
As for designs, you won't find many, if at all, because most artists won't do toe rings. Instead, I'd suggest finding first-and-foremost an artist who will tattoo your toes, and then going from there in custom-creating a design.
I recently got a tattoo on both of my baby toes a couple of weeks ago and the entire tattoo is almost gone. The color, as well as the outline, are pretty much nonexistent. I was told that it would last anywhere from 6 months to a year, but I was NOT expecting it to be gone in 2 weeks...I was wondering if there is anything at all that can be done to preserve it a little bit longer??
Thanks!
I got my first toe tattoo one week and 2 days ago. it is around my right big toe. It's pretty much gone. Less than two weeks, and it's gone, which is too bad, because it's a vine and I was going to have it continue across my foot and around part of my ankle. Good luck!
I was wondering if anyone can provide me with pictures of toe ring tattoos? I want one but can't find any pictures. [email removed]
Thanks!
Heather, did you read all the posts about the tattoos fading in as little as 2 weeks? As for the lady discouraged with the vine around toe, having one that wraps up the foot(though feet can be tricky too) and onto the ankle is still a good idea (nay, its a better one!!!).
Good luck
I had surgery on my pinky toe and i would like to get a toe ring tattoo to cover it up do u think that the tattoo would actually cover it up or not??? i am really hopin that it would and is it possible that anyone can send me some designs i cant seem to find any....Thankyou
Hey do they really fade that fast cuz if so i am not sure i want to get a toe ring tattoo. I drew my own design and it seems cool but if it wont last is it worth the pain? any suggestions on where to put a small tattoo that i can hide???
Yes!
They fade that fast, 99 times out of 100 the tattoo will start fading almost immediately and you will not be happy.
Its just not worth it but uts YOUR money!
i too myself have been wanting to get a toe tat and cant find any pics if u know of a web site i can go to please e-mail me at [email removed] any info about the price ,pain, or tat ideals to get would be helpful thanks melissa
you don't need to come to a shop with a design or picture, any respected artist will be able to design you something.. this is better than just copying somebody else's tattoo.
the price depends on the design and the artist.
the pain is unpredictable, it is different for everybody.
it'll have to be small, and don't think you can put alot of detail in there..
give your preferred artist your idea and he'll work with that and make up something that will work and that you'll like..
just be careful choosing the artist, not everybody will be able to do this, check artists portfolio for something similar, and make sure you have a good feeling about the artist. don't just go to the cheapest one, go to the best one for you!
And be prepared to have it touched up a LOT!!!
At YOUR expense...MOST artists will not do these tattoos ( see above) because of healing difficulties.
I'm trying to decide about a toe ritng too. Will the tattoo ever fade completely or does it just get lighter? Also, any websites with pictures would be great.
You seldom see pics of healed to rings because they just DO NOT STAY!!
I have had a tattoo on my second toe now for about 10 years. I have had it redone twice and it has still faded a lot, also the tattoo ink has spread slightly so sometimes it just looks like a sludgy greeny/black splodge like its been drawn on in pen. I still like the fact that i have it but am disappointed that it has faded so much and is not crisp. I have another tattoo in the small of my back and that one has stayed dark and the ink has not "bled" at all. The toe one is very disappointing and I am at the stage of either going AGAIN to try and get it darkened up, which might of course lead to even more spread of the ink eventually, or leaving it and hoping that in another 10 years its faded completely. Cant afford laser otherwise I would get it removed. Its not the fact that I had it done that i dont like but the fact that it looks really home done now - just buy a toe ring.
Yep!
Thats what we have been tryin to tell ya!!!
see everyone is saying "i have to find a place to do it, that is the hardest part." well we in the tattoo industry aren't sending you people away because we don't want to do these tattoos. But it is our responsibility to tell you what will work and what won't .just because one person has had luck with the tattoo doesn't mean everyone will.

My daughter wanted me to try to find a "vine-like" tatoo that we could each put on our big toes (like the top portion of a toe ring) with our names sort of "hidden" in the vine and little flower design. I told her I would look for her. I've never had a tatoo and "yikes" the big toe sounds painful - although ANYWHERE sounds painful lolol. Any ideas of where I could peruse some designs? Thanks.
me and my girlfriends looked at all the pros and cons and went and got a toe ring first of all its cute as hell second it didnt hurt at all acutally it tickled i was expecting alot of pain NOT AT ALL SO IF U WANT ONE GET IT IM VERY HAPPY
i got smilely faces on the bottem (the pads) of my toes... it didnt hurt but then again it didnt last to long :( after doign soem reserch into it i have been told the bast way to get them done is if you "dot" the needle rather that draw with it kinda like a dot materix printer
I have had a tattoo of a daisy on my second to big toe for well over 10 years now. I am thinking of having it re-done because it has faded slightly, but otherwise it has been fine!
Everyone who sees it can still see what it is and I know of at least 3 people that had one done after seeing mine!
I know everyone is different, but from a personal point of view, I would recommend it.
i have a tattoo of a four leaf clover on my big toe.when i first got it done i thought it was the sexiest tattoo i had.then just like every one said it faded.i did have it done again a year later but it still fades.as far as the pain its the least painfull one ive ever had including both times.
I want one really bad!! If anybody has any pics of them... email them 2 [email removed] Thank u!
I had to have the toenail on my big toe removed. It looks so plain and I can't wear sandals confidently anymore. I want to know if anyone has ever had this place tattooed and results.
I'm getting a hibiscus flower tattoo on the top of my 4th toe this Thursday. From what I gather from everyone's postings, it should be ok and not fade to bad? Can anyone chime in?
I'M GOING IN ABOUT TEN MINS TO GET MINE DONE HOW I FOUND A DESIGNS WAS BY LOOKING UP TOE RINGS AND LOOKING AT THE ONES FOR SALE PRINTED OFF ONE THAT I LIKE TOOK TO MY TATTOO GUY I'VE BEEN WITH FOR 5 YEARS HE DREW IT OUT FOR ME HE DID TELL ME NOT TO GO ALL THE WAY AROUND BECAUSE THE BOTTOM OF THE FOOT WILL WEAR DOWN QUICKLY BUT THE TOP AND SIDE AS LONG AS YOU TAKE CARE OF THEM WHILE HEALING THEY WILL BE LIKE ANY OTHER TATTOO I GUESS I'LL FIND OUT WILL LET YOU KNOW

thank-you!
I've always wanted a tattoo and with the years I came to realized that I may not want it later in life, so I've been reading the toe tattoo and I think is great that actually it fades with time, not concerned about pain, I will deal with it at a time of action for it is better on your mind, my question will be, I love using toe ring (my desing is not a toe ring at all), if I use it the friction with the toe ring will eventually make it desapear??? Cuz I draw it on my toe and I love the fact that the design will complement the ring and the ring the design... could any one help me???? email: [email removed]

I have all my toes did...check it: http://www.waynejohn.com/post/2008/06/The-Tattoo-on-my-Toes.aspx
The skin on the top of my toe (next to my pinky toe) has worn away and it looks like I have a corn. My podiatrist says he won't do surgery because it's really not a corn. Either way, it's very unpleasant-looking, particularly in the summer when I have to shy away from wearing open-toe sandals. I'm thinking of getting it colored in with a tattoo. The only drawback is it's the area kind of on top of the bone. Has anyone had this type of thing done? And is it worth it? Any/all replies are appreciated. Thanks!
