Tattoo Artist in Dallas

7 messages · last activity 4/22/2006

I have an appt booked with Saints and Sinners in Carrollton, TX. The artist was recommended and I've heard nothing but good things about the shop. I'm getting nervous though. I want a Koi, but a more feminine looking Koi with scenery. I've seen a lot of bad Koi fish done and I don't want that! This is going to be on my back forever and it's not cheap!! I'm going to look at Nine Eyes Studios tomorrow, because Mark Merchant has a good portfolio. Does anyone have any thoughts on either of these shops? I've also thought about Mark Thompson with Obscurities. I've been researching this for a few weeks and I'm ready to get it done.
I dont know saints and sinners so I can say thumbs up or down, but I do really appreciate Mark Merchants portfolio and he does exclusively tattoo in the tebori hand poke tradition. Having a traditional japanese tattoo done hand poke is definitely something I would consider! It is a bit rude to cancel an appointment, especially if the artist you booked with is respected. Try to be 100% on your artist in the future before booking time. That said, its your skin and the tattoo will be there for life so if there are any doubts, better to be safe than sorry, just give your artist plenty of notice if you cancel. Let us know how it goes!
hi, if your looking for some nice solid bright colorful work check me out at gizmos tattoo. i just moved here from memphis tn you can see my work at www.gizmostattoo.com www.tattooartists.org www.myspace.com/memphis666 all my work is custom thanks billy
The appt is on May 24th. It's rude to cancel four weeks in advance? I certaintly don't mean any disrespect towards the artist. Mark Merchant seems more the style I'm going for...We'll see. I'm excited to get it done either way!
If you had an appointment with me and called 4 weeks ahead and cancelled ,although I wouldn't like it, I would certainly appreciate your calling....its the people who DON"T call that really piss me off...anyway I would be a bit more choosy and certain before booking another appointment...TAz
4 weeks should be no problem for any artist to fill the cancelation. If you like Mark's work I'd say for for it.
