Hey guys,
The ideal tattoo artist for the style of tattoo i want is Nick Baxter.. but the problem is I live in NY. I was wondering if there are any comparable artists in the north east?

Sean Zee in NJ or Luca Natalini in CT, I believe they all worked together at some point and you can see it in their work. I was in talks with Nick to get sleeved before he moved to TX and then I found Sean Zee, who did my sleeve. I'm super proud to be wearing his work. I love my sleeve.
Good luck. :)
Christian Perez out of the HOpe Gallery in New Haven CT. or look up Marvin Silva in NY. Orrin Hurley as well in NYC .
Thanks guys those guys are really good suggestions. Sean Zee has the vibrancy of nick baxter but not really the same style otherwise he would be solid for my piece. I'm picky so keep the suggestions coming
I hear ya, man. Although, if you're that picky, make a point to be willing to wait, pay and travel. And then actually go to Nick. Jeff Enzminger is pretty similar to Nick but I think he's in TX too. There are others but, again, not close to you.
How extensive of a piece do you want? If it's a single session piece, hit him up and ask for a piece at a convention that's closer to home.
Nick truly is one of a kind, its very hard to recommend someone who has the vision and technical abilities of baxter... What type of tattoo are you looking for?
I just got tattooed by Jeff Ensminger yesterday, and i"m incredibly satisfied with the work put into it. He mentioned that he travels alot, so perhaps keep an eye on his site and he'll be doing something up in your area. Same with Nick for that matter.
Actually Christian Perez looks like he is very good in that "nick baxter style"
What do you guys think of his tattooing skills?
Christian is an awesome tattooer (and painter), absolutely. He's been tattooed by nick a bunch.
