Tattoo Artist?

My cousin is a tattoo artist and she says they make a lot of money. I'd believe it. She told me that I would have a lot of fun being a tattoo artist because I am an excellent artist. She also said that she meets a lot of cool people in the tattoo parlors she hangs out in. I've concidered it...mostly because it's somthing my parents would hate concidering I think they are embarassed of me, and I want to meet cool people like my cousin (I'm 14 so it'll be a while)...bummer

I agree with Sam, start drawing....maybe take some art classes and also take some anatomy type classes if you can in school. While you are learning and waiting read as much about tattoos and the culture and just find forums to read but until you are old enough to get a tattoo and be in and around studios don't play with home made gear because it isn't safe. Don't get into tattooing for money or meeting cool people you need to first and foremost want it with a passion. All the cool stuff comes later. Peace, Drake
