Tattoo cost?

For my boyfriends birthday i am going to pay for a tattoo he wants. it will be his first tattoo and i heard they can get expensive, even though the price is not an issue, i was just wondering the about price. he wants a cross in the middle of his back with the initials of his dad and the date he was born and the date he dies inside the cross. its not going to be small but its not going to be all his back either. thank you for your help i just want to make sure that i bring enough money cause i have no idea of how much it will be.

Go to the shop you are planning to take him to and ask the artist there. He will give you a rough estimate. Most importantly though, is to remember to tip your artist when they are through with the tattoo. He/She will definately dig an extra $20 or $30 in their pocket. And when you go back for you next tattoo, your good deed will not be forgotten!
