Tattoo Editing

Hi! I got a tattoo for my thirteenth birthday from a non-proffessional (bad idea, but he wasn't all that bad and I have been tested so nothing bad happened). And though I'm still basically happy with it, there are some things I was wondering about changing it once I'm 18. Will a new color (red-orange) go over an older one (black)? Does anyone know where I can get a full list of Kanji? (I know, BAD ME! I shouldn't be getting Asian symbols on me when I'm not Asian, but believe it or not, it has some relativity.) Furthermore, can kind of fade effects be done on tattoos? Blurring slowly from red orange until it expands to just my skin? Thank you very much.

No red-orange will not cover black unless the black is very faded...yes you can do a fade effect...for kanji google kanji!....these are questions that you should talk about with your artist...T

Do you have any idea on how to get it done over with an orange? Like layer white first or something? It's not like I want the bulk of it changed, just some of the kanji.

Without seeing the tattoo no responsible artist will even think about giving you a suggestion....impossible...too many variables...get a consultation with a competent tattoo artist...T

OK I got it to work...saw the tattoo...its HORRIBLE...if you do anything to it just consider covering it with a classy tattoo by a competent custom artist...a good tattooartist can really do wonders with that crap....its faded enough to be quite easy to work with... Now I am not trying to be mean, just being honest and I hope you are adult enough to take my answer like an adult Good tattooing mizmilenko!!!...TAz

I somehow figured you'd say something like that. But anyways, any certain designs good for covering it up? Any advice in general? Things I do want anyways are something that has to do with various Dark Carnival shit and I want something to do with my school vaguely (my school is a big part of my life emotionally. It's hard to really explain, but it's not just a regular high school) which will have a dragon on it.
