I recently got my 11th tattoo. It was my smallest of all of them: a tiny star on the inside of my wrist. It was on a whim while on vacation and so I went to a shop I didn't know anything about. Big mistake.
I had a bad feeling as I was getting it done, but it was too late at that point.
It's been a week since I've gotten it, but within a couple days of it being done I knew something was wrong. It wasn't healing like I'm used to and it was extremely painful. I went to my doctor 2 days ago and got on Keflex in case of infection. Now, it looks even worse, is even more painful and looks as though someone BRANDED me...like my skin was carved out in that spot. Has anyone ever heard of something like this? It's not very red or swollen anymore (just a little pink around the edges). The center of the star has some whitish bubbling as well. Should I be very concerned or just let the antibiotics run their course and be patient with the healing process? I'm terrified.
Tattoo infection? What is going on?

Sounds like he chewed your shit up, and it got infected! Might've been a bent needle tip...might've been a lot of things. Let it heal. Have another artist look at it in 4-6 weeks. I probably wouldn't touch it for like 6 months to a year, but that's me. That sux.
Good luck!
