Tattoo Ink Fading

2 messages · last activity 5/1/2006

So I have a question or two for anyone who is willing to answer. I've been thinking about my next tattoo and its FULL of color. I was just curious as to what various colors fade worse or which are more prone to have problems with infection. I'm quite familiar with various inks and how each persons skin is different so dont tell me it all depends on the person/ink, I understand that. I'm just looking for some outside perspective. I've talked to local artist and stuff but i need more input. This is important to me so please dont input any bullshit. I've browsed other forums and find them well... unprofessional. My skin is kinda a cross between pale russian skin and native american. Its very tough and I tan easily and dark in the summer, fade pale in the winter, if that helps at all. Thank you for replying and all your input. PS: It contains mostly greens and browns and more earthy colors with bright flower type colors throughout.
Hey man I'm TAz...and I will not bullshit ya ... If you are prone to infection I would suggest obtaining a prescription for an oral antibiotic from your doctor...tell him your plans for a tattoo and most docs will accomodate ya..you will need to take extra special care of your tattoo...follow your artists instructions to the letter and make sure ya tell him that you get infected easily As for colors in my experience I don't think any color is much different than the other...sunlight and uv rays are big enemies of your tattoo ( skin too actually) so if ya get a lot of sun use a lotion with an spf of 35 or higher Hope we helped man...if ya have anymore questions just ask!...Oh yeah...thanks for your post...TAz from Painted Angel Studios
