TATTOO SCAB PROBLEM! Please help me QUICK!!!!

4 messages · last activity 5/10/2007

4 days ago I got a tattoo on the back of my neck. I decided the next day that I really didn't like the tattoo, it was an impulse decision that was stupidly not thought through on my part. I contacted a friend who works in a Tattoo shop in Vegas (I figure they know how to get impulse off tattoos there). He said I should pick the scab off, cover it in hydrogen peroxide, then cover it with neosporin. Once it scabs over again he said to repeat. PROBLEM: the tattoo won't scab... I've put some hydrogen peroxide on it to dry it out and maybe pull a little color out, but the only trace of a scab that has appeared is in the middle of the tattoo and it is extremely soft, the outsides are not even raised. I could sit here and scratch at the tattoo all day and all it will do is irritate it.I want to get this tattoo off NOW, i understand and have been warned that it will scar, and I know that I was taking advantage of an artform, the artist did great, I just didn't the the decision through. I would just like to know if the tattoo will eventually get dry and scab over, and if not WHAT CAN I DO? Thank you!
holy moses. first, dont damage your skin trying to get a fresh tattoo out. Let it heal naturally and prepare to find a good laser guy/gal or think of something you would rather have in its place. Its the only tattoo removal process I trust is the laser (injecting acid in your skin doesnt sound very healthy), and I wouldnt trust too many people to do it. Fact is, you got a tattoo that will last a long time, if you learn anything from this mistake, learn patientce. Take the time to really learn you options (and laser or cover are it really) and then have the patientce to fix the mistake. If you jump to more stupid decisions, it could get worse.
GABE...WHY DIDN'T YOU ASK HIM WHERE HE GOT THE TATTOO DONE?????????????
ummm, where did you get the tattoo done? Im not sure why it matters... ?
