tattoo sensitivity

Hey, So i got a black kanji symbol on my lower back two years ago at a good studio. It had always been more sensitive than the rest of my skin but I didn't pay too much attention to it. Now I want another tattoo but after talking to my former tattoo artist I think it may be an allergy to black ink? I had no bumps, redness, or itchness. It is not raised and still looks great, I don't know what to do? the ink they used started with a p .. if I use a different black ink would I have a better chance?
if you had absolutely no reaction to the tattoo after application, no adverse healing, nothing.... then you're probably NOT allergic to black ink. I'm curious as to why your artist would say that if you had no reaction.
no one seemed to have any idea why it was sensitive... he said either my body just didn't like the ink which doesn't really make sense or my nerves are closer to the surface than normal... but I would not consider myself a "sensitive" person so I am not sure... when I run my fingers very lightly over my tattoo there is one section that feels slightly raised (only when I am sitting in a certain way) but no one else can seem to feel that its raised and its not raised when looking at it... could it just be a minior allergic reaction?
It's doubtful that you are allergic. You probably didn't touch that area often before you got the tattoo and It's possible that it is psychosomatic!
