Tattoo shop at a flea market

i live in nh, and every summer theres the infamous Laconia Bike Week. and its awful. Just flash pumping morons shoving rusty used needles into skin everywhere. Nasty trailers with spray paint that says TATTOOS. ugh i cant even go on, the whole thing makes me ill.
yeah i've seen this before -- but only in AZ.
also have seen it at craft fairs, and at lil shacks outside of concert venues.
and by shack I mean it has 3 walls, a cieling, and no door.
So, does anyone have a positive experience with one of these places that they'd care to share with the rest of us?
Oh please, do tell all..........

No?...............................didn't think so!
i live in daytona now and the flea market/swap meat has three tattoo shops in it ,two are directly across from each other .
two Jamaican cents:
In some parts, there's no other way for ink-loving folks to get marked than by a guy with a car battery, a machine made of office equipment, and a needle that looks like telephone wire. Sad but true. Where i live there are maybe 2 or 3 of what you would call artists, with proper equipment, release forms, certificates on the wall, a clean place, talent, etc, etc.
I gather that there are some very clean and well-appointed tattooists in the resort towns, but that their skill doesn't extend beyond the stencil. Or maybe that's just my bitter artist friend's favourite bugaboo.
I share the outrage of tatt-artists who worry about the image their industry is getting, especially up north, where there's actually a market, and - if i gather correctly from your posts - it's really not so hard to do the thing right.
Maybe part of the challenge is that tattooing is kind of an outlaw activity anyway, still associated with foul-mouthed sailors and women of easy virtue. Is there any kind of union or industry group for american tattmeisters to regulate themselves?
a sort of positive experience: i did once get inked by some guy with a car battery, etc as described. There is still more ink in my handkerchief than in my skin. The positive part: my arm did NOT rot off!
Yes Ras,
That's quite a positive story..................................it feels good when it stops hurting!!!! Doh!!!!!!!

I happen to know the guys that run the tattoo shop in the flea market and there is nothing wrong with getting a tattoo from them there. They don't tattoo out of the market, instead there is a trailor behind them where they do their business. It's a priority to make sure that all of their equipment is sanitized, so next time you want to judge a place by its location or appearance; I'd advise you to do a little more research....

Yeah well for every dude that does it "right' in these situations there are dozens that tattoo right there in that nasty tent in the heat in open air filled with all kinds of bacteria and germs....
So fuck off!
A trailer, huh? Yes, I've noticed that most trailers are cleaner than the average home kitchen..............................where scores of scratchers and hackers operate out of.
But hey, it's your body, and if you want you p--sy tattooed by one of these guys, by all means, go for it. It's no skin off anyone elses carcass. Personally, I don't know why anyone would try to stop you.

......................Oh, and by research, do you mean drag the Board of Health down there to check out the facilities? Will do chippie!!!! In fact, from here on out, I'll raise a red flag in every instance!!!!
