It is most definitely someone with a stake in the company. I would be opposed. The reason being that paper towels are a food grade product and already made in an environment set up for medical and food applications.... at least a towel like Bounty is. There is already enough good intentioned products that are nothing more than feel good items that actually cause more harm than good (hand sanitizer comes to mind.... 67% isop alcohol marketed for casual use).
I have no problems with innovations that make tattooing safer. I love disposable tubes and all the different shapes and sizes of barrier film, but there is also something to be said about keeping things simple.
Yeah i agree, its kinda like using machine bags rather than sandwich bags.
I, myself, like using paper towels and green soap the regular way. Bounty is THE paper towel to us, not only is it a brand name, it doesnt leave little pieces of paper on the skin, which comes in handy during outlines. I guess it all comes down to preference, im willing to try this new product, but im pretty sure im still gonna like doing things the old fashioned way. Im just not so keen on the idea of a mandate. "if it isnt broken, dont fix it". I've never heard of a paper towel giving someone an irreversible disease. When the proper measures have been taken when prepping an area/work station for a tattoo and you make sure to break down your station properly and start fresh in between clients, then theres really nothing to worry.
Cant really say more until i've tried the said product.
