is it possible to tattoo your own arms?not try sound dumb just wondering how it would be done?
done all my lower left arm. wasnt too bad but better to have someone do it for stretching of skin and such.
Yes it is possible to do a tattoo on yourself especially on your own arms. I have four tattoos on my left arm that I have done myself, they are easy. I have on on my chest, it was a pain in the butt because it was so hard to see. and i have two on my upper legs that were pretty easy
Listen up!! Tattoo is a tight community and they don't want you to tattoo yourself because then they don't make any money BUT they are full of it and or believe you can't because they don't have the dice to do it them selves- You can tattoo yourself!! Anywhere you can draw on yourself you can tattoo- While online go to sites like inkcraft and find a cheap tattoo kit- Screw an expensive set up, if you can draw straight lines and have a feel for art you just need something to get the needle going and feel it out- buy some practice skins to get over the jitters- You will get the shakes at first so go slow to start but then you will relax and get more done than you thought- I've tattooed 60 % of my body already and tattoo artist always compliment me on my tatts and then weird out when I tell them I did them- Most of those stuck up to cool for school, fake rock star little boysare to timid to tattoo them selves- You are not! Back on the subject,,, ink matters a little so ask around but I find that if the art is good the tone doesn't matter- 1 and 3 needle for outline, I suggest 3- 8 round or flat for fill in- For a bigger fill in buy a bigger magnum like 18 and the head that goes with it- You'll figure out the rest as you go unless you are slow- Remember, people have tattooed them selves for thousands of years most of them children by modern standards and women- A tattoo kit with everything included should cost about 250.00 to 350.00- Don't forget to get gloves (ink get on hands and is hard to get off) and paper towels and distilled water to mix with the green soap (20 % green soap / 80 % distilled water) green soap comes with kit) and iso Alcohol- You can use a Sharpie (red or black) for drawing the tattoo on or use the transfer sheets in your kit- I suggest non cheesy tribal design of a personal nature because they involve black ink and simple design and are less difficult to do on your self- Also They look striking from a distance and don't reveal too much about who you are- Be mysterious not transparent- Go tattoo your self and your friends and enjoy your freedom- Just don't tattoo a dumb ass image on your body because then you'll have to cover it up- Love you all- Dad
I just love your reasoning behind the use of gloves. Jeez...
no respect for the art is plain to see and dumb as a bag of rocks
Don't forget to save some of that fake skin that comes with that 350.00 kit. You can use it for a skin graph if does not turn out the way you like. Oh and a liitle coating of bacon grease will keep the ink stains off your hands. Make sure to let it cool a liitle first! I learned that one the hard way. Seriously...I think tattooing yourself should be the first tattoo you do. This should be supervised by a professional for SAFETY and proper execution. Don't forget that people died from a scrapped knee in the past. Skin is a very useful organ for keeping them critters outside.
