Tattooing yourself

I was bored at the shop the other night and decided to start a nice piece on my blank thigh. Weird tattooing upside down. How many of you guys did it?

hopefully everyone who is or aspires to be a tattoo artist. i have tattooed mysefl many times in many places. its a great way to learn. lets you know how your hand treats people.

My wife's first tattoo she did was a good sized full color fairy on her calf. She couldn't see using anyone else and as scratch pad until she proved herself to herself.

i just tattooed my calf last friday and im bout to do more this weekend

did my first tattoo upside down on my right thigh, my second on my left, my third next to my 2nd. Yeah, fun fun fun!

I have done a few on myself but am a little different...I am trying to keep a theme going to each piece so that I came do full covers plus I am saving my whole right side (what isn't already inked) for an underwater theme adventure....anyone know of artist that specializes...I am going to do all the artwork myself..just need someone who is on the same page... My right arm will be sleeved in Sept by the marvelous TAZ but I am still going to need the rest done on the right side...(leg, hip, large mermaid on right rib cage) Mike

When my artists get to the poinbt of tattooing on skin I require them to do their first tattoo on themselves...yes it does give a feel!
