tattoos on foot or ankle??

ok im totally caking it ext saturday im going to get two of my tattoos topped up (lizard on my shoulder and star on my under-arm) and i was planning on getting three little stars either on my foot or my ankle...thing is iv heard they can get infected on the foot and fade. plus they hurt like s**t so im told...please can i have some honest answers and advice of where to get it?? one star is black and two are pink... liz

Hiya I had a tattoo on my left leg just above my ankle. I have 2 others on my upper arm. The one on my leg was ok being done, but then the day after and for 12 days, it was ferking agony first thing in the morning.........I would rather give birth again!!! It is taking a lot longer to heal than my others did. I think the pain is because you're always on your feet and don't realise how many muscles you use when walking...........so on that note, it'll be agony. You do have to look after them more being so low down, when I got mine done, a lassie was getting a gothic cross on the top of the foot, tattooist told her be extra careful, muck can get into the tattoo easier.

I have stars on my foot, I got it about a year ago and I have already had to get it touched up. and yeah, it hurts like shit! it didn't hurt as bad when I got it touched up though.
