Ok..just about fucking tired of the Bullshit I am hearing! I am in MO right now getting a sleeve from Taz.. YES, he is doing it freehand...oldschool. YES NEEDLE TO SKIN YOU FUCKTARDS that think it isn't possible. IF you have a problem with that or don't believe it come to the Nightcrawlers fest and see this first hand...I have never seen this done and having the honor to have him do this is beyond words. He used a pen...for what? To mark the center of my forearm, and the top half and lower half as were to stop. THATS IT!! FUCK people he didn't have a reference photo...this is straight out of his twisted mind.....wanna see it come to Tazfest...otherswise shut the fuck up about Taz!! It is getting really OLD!!! Mike

well i haven't had time to get any new done lately, all i have is a few old stuff from a few years ago..i actually was busy running a business and other things and haven't really drawn in a few years, but i've been drawing since i was a kid so no biggie..not tattoo related, not my best by far, but not sure if anyone here would be interested? is the purpose to see if i can really draw or critique me, or what? either way, i love it. i can clear my memory stick on my digi cam and do all that uploading shit if any of you old farts are really that desperate to see old shit, really...shit i should just use that time and draw something new. i'm trying to decide on a sleeve design for myself by x-mas....hmmmmmm.let's see how "constructive" YOU are. any suggestionssssssssssssss?????

Dear Mike: In my honest opinion, and with all respect Mr. Taz deserves, people is this forum just love to kiss ass. Period. There is no need to call people that doesn't think like you (Mike) Retards, Fuckstards, or whatever. Yes this is a free forum but if everyone starts abusing freedom this will turn into a house of disrespectful people. I don't know you Taz much, and I really enjoy your talk and jokes, but I have very little to learn from you, I've seen a few tats and drawings and from just what I've seen I still think that is ultra risky to do freehand work on the skin without any kind of reference. Call it Taz, call it Deano Cook or whoever. Now Mike is talking about traced line with pen...well, now you are getting closer to a stencil or at least some sort of reference. I am 31 and been drawing since I was born pretty much, whenever you paint or draw you do trace a guide. Anyway, I will give my arm to a freehander only if he can prove with work his skill. Otherwise I stick with what most of us agreed on. Let's try to think for ourselves instead of kissing ass...for real is getting uncomfortable to se every single thread being a Taz's ass kiss. Suggestion: If you want some attention in a board from the pros, post some good art or say something valuable that way you will get pro's and regular public attention. Taz you must be a damn great artist and can't wait to see a good portfolio, since this forum seems to be about you. Is there any link where I can check your work?? I went to paintedangel.com site, which i believe is your shop and didn't see any of your work aside from Nathan's and Anthony's work. dman I feel better now that I finally said it.

Cravink you just keep missing EVERYTHING don't ya....The "LINES" Mike was talking about were 3 lines one to show where the top was to be one to show where the bottom was to be and one for a center line....I don't know what you have to learn since we have seen none of your work....as for kissing ass I don't believe ANYONE does that on this forum and just personally I think you need to get some remedial reading lessons since you seem to have such a problem understanding the very simple things people say on this forum and they need to be explained to you constantly Lets see your work Pal...

Cravink has provided us with about 4 photos on his inkednation.com page where you can go, take a look and judge his work for yourself. There's 2 or 3 pieces you can look at. It's nice to know what people's stuff looks like when you are agreeing or disagreeing with others. We now know about 3 or 4 photos worth from each of them. With those references, you can decide what you think about each of their styles. Bon appetite.

Cravink, I really don't think there's been much ass kissing going on here, you guys really seem to mistake respect for ass kissing. And it seems a few people have decided that in order to change this that they need to be an asshole about it. As far as valuable posts go I feel that I DO say something valuable nearly every day on this forum. It may not always be aimed at tattoos, but it's there. You guys, I'm really not suprised about any of this. Taz is the "big dog" on this forum, so it's only natural that as soon as he posts some artwork people are going to do their best to take him down. Do some reading into some past posts folks. If you're not learning from any of them, then you either must already know everything, or aren't reading slow enough to comprehend what's being said. This isn't art school, so don't expect to learn how to draw or tattoo better by what you read. But, in my opinion, life is art, art is life. You can learn a lot about life through art, likewise, you can learn a lot about art through life. And lets try to think/use some tact please. Cravink, I'm curious as to what you meant to achieve with your "taz, I've got nothing to learn from you" comment...just didn't seem necessary to me, but maybe you felt that it is, I dunno. I don't expect this thread to "go away" anytime soon until we actually get some things resolved. Jeremy

Taz: read my post, I am not challenging you although wouldn't mind to do so, I simply want to see some freehand work from you since I've never seen a straight freehand. But if you consider that as an insult I truly apoligize. What I posted on my inkednation link were a few scattered images I found in my hardrive from my work last weeks, I will be glad to share with you my past work when I used to work at the shop in argentina, I just need to scan them. I will also post a piece I am working on as soon as i finish it. Again nothing against you. I work from home and tattooing selected clientele because I haven't had the chance until now to own a shop. I've been tattooing since I was 16 if that concerns anyone and I'm 31. Well, Cravink, I'd say this... I do think you could learn from Taz as far as drawing and tattooing goes, cause after looking at your stuff, the stuff you provided anyway, I wouldn't choose you. For reference, what do I think is good? I picked Twisted Sol in Denver, twistedsol.com, artist Lee Ball. You can check them out. For a baseline, this is my idea of good work. But I will say this, depending on how much you had to do with the Graphic Design stuff on that site, you are a really, really smooth and competent graphic designer!Very talented. There are some really beautiful design projects on that site. As far as the Design stuff goes, I'd say you'd be a great choice for anyone to work with. See? There's something for everyone. I still say Taz donates an unbelievable amount of time working with all types of people on this site. So far, I think you owe him some respect. Really awesome design work my man!! Al

DADDY ROSE: Thanks for the greeting and like I say that's my own company I do all the design work, my fiance handles the phone and project management an I have a programmer assistant helping with code. Unfortunately those tats I have on that page don't speak for what i really would love to do, again I am not running it fulltime so rather doing little stuff here and there that people want. Now when the shop is up and running I am expecting to go back to the fun pieces, although most shops in my area get the little sticker kind of work, which I will try to avoid. Hate to repeat myself but in non of my posts I was disrespecting Taz or turning him down. I think there is nothing wrong about showing some work? what do you think? Your ALLLLLL missing the point! PERIOD. What the fuck does it matter how someone gets to the finnished product if it works? We all have different methods AND styles. I could never ,,,,and WOULD never do a portrait without a stencil. Nor many other types of work. I CAN think of many other types of tattoos I WOULD feel confident on doing just as Taz does AND expect to pull them off! The day I think I need to have someone tell me HOW I need to prepare for and what to use to do a piece of art I quit. BOTTON LINE.......Can Taz Tattoo?.....Is he a scratcher?.....Does he perform sub standard work? Again get a life. I am expecting to see a thread next on picking your nose. John, you may have seen enough work to make up your mind, but I have yet to talk to another artist in person who has seen enough of of Taz's work to make a decision about the quality of work. Personally, I didnt care until he was glorifing tattooing in a manner MANY consider irresponsible. But your right, the proof is in the pudding, cant wait to see more of it.

I am not attacking, just speaking based on true facts personally experienced in here: When I asked Taz to post his work, he refers me to some unfinished or blurry image. If with 35 years of experience, tons of national and international tattoo awards and master skills: a) you don't have at least one picture of a finish piece (a full folio would be better) b) you didn't learn how to take a sharp picture c) a picture of you working on a freehand, no stencil Then it's really hard to believe you are the ultimate tattoo master and that's wy this posts seem to never end. Last time I kindly and respectfully asked for a picture, I was bashed and challenged to show some pictures of my words, I did and all I got from Taz was a bashing response along with his others from his followers. At least my images were sharp, you can see me tattooing and the tattoos were finished, yet they don't make justice for my skills. All I can see is that if Taz is a freehand artist with the whole meaning of the word "freehand", then he has been scratching people from left to right, because the last drawing of a warrior he did looked like it had some major issues, like symmetry, line balance, etc. He may know a lot (I can read a book about law and know about law, yet I don't need to be a lawyer for that) How do you fix all this errors on the skin??? Just tell your client that is work in progress? Ask him to lend you the other arm to give it another try. Come on I am an artist and been doing it for 28 years. True freehand is impossible, at least without reference points or an eraser. I've been also bashed for speaking my truth, yes I have a private studio at home up to high sterilization standards. So what! to be an artist I don't need to own my own shop or work at one. I've been tattooing for over 15 years on-off. Cut calling people that don't own tattoo shops scratcher. A scratcher is someone that ruins someone's skin for not having the right training and experience. He mentions to own painted angel tattoo shop, yet still haven't seen his name on the site, nor portfolio. Come on guys, lets chill and take it like pros (if you are) no need to bash. Some people in here spend the whole day in this forum (and I mean 24hrs) I wonder how a busy tattoo artist can keep up with both, shop and forum. Anyway I think this is a great place and that people need to be willing to accept critics and behave professionally. I have kept my fiance away from this forum due to the level of some posts and replies and would love to let her know about this place since we are finally opening our own shop. Would be nice for both, pro and enthusiasts to run this threads in a much calmer environment. IF you are so good and have won so many awards (everyone) include your portfolio at Off the Map tattoo and shut peoples mouth with facts, like real pros have been doing it. Gabe, After reading all the posts about Taz, I let my temper get the better of me and I apologize......BUT, Those comments were not directed at YOU. They were generalized statements to the individuals that feel the need to BASH my MENTOR! I am not kissing ANYONES ass...period!!! If someone else has shown me the respect and teachings that Taz has gone out of his way to do, I would respond the same for them. It is not about kissing anyones ass...IT IS ABOUT RESPECT!! Thats about it...and yes he did "needle to skin" no reference photo just a bunch of ideas I gave him. No its not finished because my forearm couldn't handle anymore. After two sessions I started to swell up pretty bad. My whole forearm is about 75% done in black and grey but we still have to finish adding and bringing everything together PLUS we are going up the arm later...again if I don't keep swelling up. It is my body, not the artist. No I will not post pics YET, so don't ask...again out of RESPECT for my mentor. Once it is finished I will be HAPPY TOO.. Mike
