Goes to show you 'experience' does not always translate to 'greatness'. e.g. I had a guy that's been tattoing for 13 years give me my worst tattoo and another guy tattooing 9 years give me my best.

are we sure this is Taz's work? if the person was so unhappy why did they get so much work from him? it is pretty bad though, ouch.

well aint karma a bitch!!!! i feel for the person that got this decrepid work done to them.in the time i was talking to this puss sucking maggot! and im being nice here.he sent me 2 pics of beautiful work 2 betty boops i no longer have them in my system but i highly doubt they were his.i have NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT TAZ!!!!! except he is a FUCKING SMUCK!!! if this is one of his artist i would highly recomened that he find another shop ASAP.

can we get a little more info on these. i mean what if these where when taz first started or what if this isnt his work at all. how can we trust this source. how can we jump to this conclusion. ive had it out with taz many times. but im not going to just assume these random photos of bad work is his. i have seen his real work though from a reliable source...

Simple. Look at Taz's myspace or check prior posts of his work here, that biomech design he did on the guy was posted by him before on this board.

Just to answer, indirectly, some questions that were asked on this thread, yes, I WAS an apprentice.... 2. yes the work you saw was Taz's.... 3. Sorry, i have since taken the pics off of my photobucket account.... 4. i had contacted Kandyman a long while ago about some work but the more I thought about it.... Some serious things needed to be done first.... Well folks.... Looks like I have finally found a couple of places to consider getting some laser removal done.... The more and more I have been looking around and the more awesome work I am seeing done I think now is the time to get serious again about my tattoos again.... And before I do that I have to do something about the ones I have now.... What started off as some cool ideas just didn't pan out.... When this gets rolling I will provide pictures and updates on this thread so you guys can follow along if you wish....

First of all i'm not a tattoo artist and i dont claim to be. I've never done a tattoo in my life and draw stick figures like a mongoloid. Im just someone who loves tattoos and everything that goes along with them. With that said it is my belief that if you are going to come on this post and talk shit about someone's work you should post your own work first IF YOU ARE A TATTOO ARTIST to get the same type of (constructive or lack of) criticism. If you are not a tattoo artist, scrutinize away but dont talk shit because obviously you have no work to show AND you aren't an artist but at least with everyone posting their work you can decide who NOT to go see like our good buddy Taz. I also believe that people who get enough tattoos eventually find their way (if their serious about getting good work and the art of) and can pick out the good artists even though they dont tattoo. I believed this is achieved through getting some shitty tattoos from less than sub par artists (I, like many, have learned the ahrd way by getting some shitty work done unfortunately) and getting awesome work by fantastic artists. I personally know a good artist when i see one and dont need a cocky fuck tattoo artist telling me i dont know what i'm looking for. Even though the photobucket account said it was getting maintenance done and i didn't see taz's work personally i'm sure it blows. If 50 people call you an asshole chances are.....your an asshole.

scratch what i said two or three posts ago....talk shit especially to an asshole thats cocky enough to get on the post and give shit to other people about the business in general and then turn out tattoos that look shit. he claims to have 30 years of experience but like the dude said before that must've been bad experience because i'm sure someone like Paul Acker in philly doesn't have 30 years and he's light years ahead of taz

The cross and kanji's were done by Taz's sone Nathan who, when my x-gf and i went to get tattooed, had only been tattooing full time for 2 weeks I believe if I remember the story and that was going on roughly 5 years ago.... Nathan has made a lot of strides since then.... Infact the trip up to Iowa to work with Kandyman Joe, although ending on a sour note, really lit a fire under that kids ass and I have seen some of his work, ie; tattoos and drawings, on myspace that he puts up.... I wish him the best of luck. The rest of the stuff you see is all Taz's work....

The best that I can provide right now is go to myspace and search for "Nathan@Painted Angel" .... That will take you to his page and you be able to look at the pics there.... Unless there is some stupid myspace BS about having to be someones "friend" to veiw them.... I would provide links however myspace is blocked here at work.... If that doesn't work for you let me know.

well just went to hi myspace and there isn't very many pics of his tattoos but the ones that are there are nothin special. certainly not reason to run off at the mouth talkin about how good he is after 35 yrs in the biz...............blah blah blah. taz you're a hoax man. all smoke and mirrors and very little skill. get over yourself fatty

Taz blows a lot of hot air and his tattoos are pretty substandard, that's being polite. He'd be better off at burger king. They have an extensive menu and if he proves he is a good worker he might eventually get to cook some of the dishes - hell, who knows, maybe a supervisor one day. Either way it's got to be better than what he does now. Come on, admit defeat and lets stop this nonsense. Look at what there is ahead of you in the restaurant business!!

Yes, there was a bit of a sour note with Nathan, but since then he and I have resolved things... even hung out for a bit on my last trip down to KC. There is definitely a "fire under his ass" now. He's earned my respect. -Joe
