SOmeone clue me in. The Japanese apprentice guy (name escapes me) on Miami ink can't draw to save his ass. I saw one episode where he wa "maybe" going to tat his firth butterfly and it was like he was studying for the SAT"s. Should you not AT LEAST have some drawing/art back ground before applying as an apprentice?
I could not draw my way out of a paper bag, so i'm not out to slam the guy, but what's the point of being an apprentice if you have no drawing/art skills? I cannot imagine it can be learned in that sitation. hell, most artists I know (good or bad) have been drawing since tey were really young? Just curious.
the apprentice on Miami ink?

Oh man! That is so cool.
Thanks! Now I have no excuse.
remember you are watching a show that isnt really reality. a show just on watching people do tattoos would be boring so they edit it chop it up rearrange things and put a spin on everything to keep you watching. im sure youve noticed the editing is usually done poorly. youll see things that should have been in earlier episodes and so on.
a friend of mines family was on a reality show. i wont saw who or what to protect his aninominity because he hated it but when i saw the show i was asking him wow you guys really had a bad time doing this or that and he told me they actually had a fun time just the way it was edited to add some drama and make a regular everyday event interesting.
Well it ain't workin on mine...why?
gess itt dontt matir nun I nevveer messpel iny wurds inywaze
Yeah Crockett, I understand the whole editing for drama POV. He is an interesting charactor, just seems pointless for him to pursue tattooing when he has no drawing skills?
Yogi (they pronounce it Yo-gee, like, a long G), was having trouble with his drawing, and they did an episode of it, where Ami was talkin about him thinkin bout his career cuz he has a kid now. Then, Garver started helping him every week in return for guitar lessons (As Yogi was going to be in a band, but it wasn't working)...and they said he is gettin better. In fact, they are advertising during the show for a new secretary person cuz Yogi is going to be a full fledge artist now. I know it is cut to make drama, and who knows how much trouble he was actually having or how well he can even draw pd...but, that's the last i saw from the newer episodes.
That poor fucker!! They abuse that dude to no end and if he had one whit of self respect he'd tell Ami to go f*#k himself and find another shop where he would be treated as if he were human!
I realize that its only a television show but there are studios in which the apprentices are treated badly and I just cannot justify that. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity even the walking abortion dumbass tards that call themselves apprentices!..TAz
PS we keep ours locked in the basement and beat em with clipchords!
So Taz How much to beat an aprentice for an hour or two ?
