Thinking of getting my first tattoo need advice !

Ok guys, perhaps you could give me some advice, so i finally decided to get a tattoo, and no its not a tribal either, i've been meaning to get one for quite a while but just haven’t had anything worth while to ink. Than one day randomly vesting the site i ran into a set of JaiDee and i just loved the two gun tattoos she had. So to make a long story short i drew up some guns of my own. I'm going with a ying yang kind of theme here, as in each gun represents one side of me. So far i've only gotten the "bad" gun done http://lazysam.homestead.com/files/Scan3.jpg What makes this one special is the little details. The missing sight represents the times in my life when i drifted blindly with no direction. The cocked hammer is for the time where i was willing to get into a confrontation at the drop of a hat, and the lack of the trigger guard are the times i've been reckless. The ornaments themselves represent the temptations in life that blind us from seeing what’s really important> I'm fairly satisfied with the design over all, im sure ill spend countless days tweaking it, however i need some help with the placement. At first i wanted it in the same spot as she did but im not really sure if i would be comfortable with that, so right now im leaning towards getting them done on the sides of my ribcage. Any ideas suggestions comments would be welcome, as long as they are constructive.

Finally ...someone who is actually putting some brain power behind getting a tattoo! I like the way you are "making it your own" by putting in little details that reflect who you are....keep workin on it my friend...you are on the right track!!!!! Taz

Good job on doing a design with some meaning.....I don't know how many tat's is see that make me ill. Or someone just turning the age, and needs one. If the tattoo has NO meaning personally, it's nothing. If it isn't something close to your heart, it shouldn't be done.... That's just me saying this. But if I see another tribal, dragon, koi, ect. I'd vomit.... Be original... Be yourself... So many excellent artists around. Just call gabe at Off the Map tattoo in MASS, he'll tell you where to go. If not at his shop...
